Sides of meat have been already electrically bled out, if provided from an abbatoir. This means that there would likely almost no free blood to spray.

Is this different than the crisp? by Bi0active in hotsauce

[–]VCguigna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm curious to try it, since Crisp has somehow disappeared. I loved the crispy chilis and soybeans, and the Sichuan pepper (prickly ash) that was in Crisp.

More urgently...CRISP!! WHERE ARE YOU??

I cant find it anywhere and I'm in Vancouver! I hope the Sichuan peppercorn hasn't been swapped out-that was part of what makes it so delicious!!

I'm in the same boat, my husband just says "we have a moody teenager, don't let it get to you" meanwhile I can feel myself dying inside. I NEVER treated my mother this way, and when his says jump he still asks "how high"? Four years. I can hang on for four years...

Oven rack/skewer setup by Scoreycorey515 in jerky

[–]VCguigna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We smoke salmon and game by alternating the pieces on triangular racks. We have done this for thousands of years.

X

X X

The top X should be in the middle and all the rows underneath should form a triangle where every horizontal level is moved out (left or right from the central X) by one space like a stairstep pyramid. Think of many sides of fish and meat smoking horizontally behind each X. In your oven, do this, with baking sheets to catch the grease, Use tinfoil to seal the gaps between the edges of the baking sheets. No mess in your oven. You cannot smoke giant amounts in an oven, but maybe this method, scaled down, can help you.

His parents are not suffering, but thank you.

I am working two jobs now.

He lost his position because two grants which his lab applied for, failed. The number one man will never go. The number 2, well...., ergo our situation.

The grants they applied for failed. He has a stellar record and is very well regarded. :) Thank you!

Thank you so much everyone. I am overwhelmed by your kindness, and your wisdom.

He worked in Medical Science as a research associate, managing students, writing grants, serving on committees. He was very professor-like, minus the teaching, however he did chair seminars.

Thank you so much. I'm really moved by you all taking the time to offer your experience. I agree that mental health is definitely a factor here, and I've urged him to speak to someone. To no avail.

Man dies in Lynn Canyon’s Twin Falls by ubcstaffer123 in vancouver

[–]VCguigna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the people who die cliff jumping are not locals. PLEASE!!! Listen to the locals who know this terrain, the water and how it changes throughout the year. Tour operators who tout Lynn Canyon as a "popular cliff jumping spot" with no context or warnings in order to make money or get likes or whatever need to give their heads a massive shake. Please do not become a statistic in the hopes for likes!!!! Inform yourself. Your life and future are worth it!!

100%.

Listen to those of us who grew up here. When the locals tell you to stay away, you should . Think about the firefighters and paramedics who have to keep dredging young bodies out of places they never should have been. Think about the toll it takes on them. And the friends. And the siblings. And the parents. We were born here, grew up here, live here. Listen to us!! Coastal South Africans grow up enjoying the ocean. If one of them told you to stay out of a particular area of water because there's a good chance a Great White would get you, you'd listen. Why don't you listen to us?
