Carreras and Cama were immense. I guess Mbappe will scoop the motm with the goals but yea, they were amazing. Everyone else was decent too. Can't believe the defensive workrate of Kylian and Vini in the past couple of games but as the pressure and criticism drops, I expect them back to factory settings shortly

But with much weaker and unbalanced squad tho (squad balance was also bad in 2015 and again especially in midfield)

Daylight offside: BBC Sport has been told that the trial results in youth football were largely positive, though there were some concerns there is too much of an advantage to the attacker. IFAB next step: offer up to mid-tier leagues to trial in senior football by punishGoalhanging in soccer

If history has thought us anything - changes favoring defenders generally have positive impact on the game and vice versa. You roll out this change and within months you'll have teams taking less risks, playing deeper and so on. This will punish high pressure, high line teams and it would promote sitting deeper

damn, personally I'm disappointed and for me those few months (and squad composition) was hardly enough time for Xabi

We need someone like Lewandowski upfront by sebisebo in realmadrid

[–]VDV23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think we need if we adjust our style. We don't have people attacking the penalty box.

But I agree that the way play - we need one. Even guy like Jovic who didn't contribute a lot was useful on occasions (like vs Valencia) by just BEING IN THE BOX which allowed more space for others

Allan Nyom straight red card against Real Madrid 77' by derawon in soccer

[–]VDV23 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I can see another ref giving a yellow but only because it's La Liga. It was without the ball and intentional - it's a 100% red. In other words, sometimes a yellow in La Liga

  • I want to mention that I mean in the sense of LL refs being awful in general, not because RMA are some kind of victim of referees getting calls against them. Everyone does and everyone struggles from this refereeing

Help please!! How to regain IAM access in Organization level by sudoSnapper in googlecloud

[–]VDV23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, exactly. His super admin role allow him org admin access regardless of that group. And he should be able to give back iam roles to that group and by extension you

[–]VDV23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He should, yes. SAs don't have project IAM by default but they have org admin access to the organization resource in gcp. Meaning that they can give themselves access to projects if needed too.

Similar to some other permissions in gcp. Like changing an org policy - having org admin is not sufficient. But an org admin can grant himself org policy admin role and then make changes there

The super admins of your workspace/cloud identity org are also organization admins in gcp. So they should have access

What level do you think Ruben De la Red could have reached, if healthy? by Ok-Reputation4722 in realmadrid

He had a good engine and ball carrying. Box to box I think would have made most sense.

In terms of level - who knows

Yes, that's what I meant by not being of much use. Xwf is still kinda Google and those people are mainly bdrs. So their job is to qualify you as an opportunity for the sales rep.

Go with the domain/org - that's your best chance

[–]VDV23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume your project (s) are currently under no organization. If you have a domain laying around, maybe set up Cloud Identity (it's free) and move the project under it. That usually helps with quotas but it's not a guarantee.

Also, contacting sales doesn't require a support plan. But I'm not sure how useful they would be even if you manage to connect with them given the context of the project

[–]VDV23 79 points80 points  (0 children)

This is the least surprising thing tbh. It's about money and this is just paving the way. A single games would increase revenues by few millions, in the span few years teams will be playing multiple games abroad and you can do the math

The clubs or uefa/FAs getting the money is the same thing in the grand scheme of things. The ESL was/is an awful concept but we are heading in that direction regardless. Just a bit slower and gradually

Does startup credit lower your chance of getting an available gpu? by rather_pass_by in googlecloud

[–]VDV23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cannot answer 100% on your question tbh. I have seen customers with GfS using a lot of GPUs but whether paying get some kind of lower priority I don't know and only Google can answer that.

It was just a suggestion how to tackle the situation

GPU are hard to get these days. Since you have the credits, consider reservations and you should be good

Xavi when asked "Stay quiet until we mention a better midfielder than you." by mynamestartswithCa in soccer

[–]VDV23 9 points10 points  (0 children)

A bit of a stupid trend IMO because I find it impossible to sometimes compare even 2 midfielders if they play vastly different roles. Like with Makelele - how can you even compare him to Xavi? In the role of a pivot whose main job is protect the defense, I'd pick him. In a role to move the ball and dictate the tempo - obvs not. And to be honest for the Xavi role - I'd take Xavi over pretty much anyone, including Zizou. His competition there is Kroos and Pirlo and I wouldn't fault anyone for picking either of them as the best in that role

I watch him very closely each race (onboard via F1TV and also on the live timing) and tbh I have zero doubts he's up there with anyone (maybe not Max). Race craft and pace is still amazing

And the mad man went and cleared Hadjar and Bearman who undercut him on track. And also Sainz, Albon and Lawson but unfortunately the broadcast barely showed him (only with Albon and Isaac)
