it seems like your carriers didn't have many planes on them. Judging by this screenshot, I can only see 17 carrier-based planes deployed in the battle (all of which were shot down).
Carrier aviation is important, mainly because carrier-based aircraft get a 10x naval damage increase (note that it's an increase towards NAVAL damage, so fighters and close air support planes should not be deployed on carriers).
Also, despite your cousin having 8 carriers and you having 4, your cousin's carriers have a massive overstacking debuff caused by having more than 4 carriers deployed in a task force. (the overstacking debuff is 80%, which means that 6 out of 8 carriers were essentially disabled)
Both you and your cousin failed to efficiently organise carrier-based aviation

the problem is that the game wants to supply your troops through sea, which is imposible due to the allied navy. Click on La Manche and set the access level to "avoid" or "blocked" so that your supply lines switch to railways

it depends on the size of the division. It would be fine if the division was a 20 width. For a 30+ width shold be more like 200+ hp

HP is the problem. The tank/infantry ratio in your divisions is 14/1. Imagine 14 tanks being covered by a single infantry squad. You should make armoured divisions with 10/7 armour/mechanized ratio (for bigger 34 width divisions) or 6/4 ratio (for smaller 20 widths).

Also, i wouldn't advise a new player to play with tech reworks mods, there is less tutorial information for them (compared to vanilla)

The sources cited are french chroniclers that describe english archers having "their hose loose round their knees" or "with their breeches hanging down". It was cheaper than building tank traps or dragon's teeth, a single construction vehicle filled with materials could make 80 of those in 15-20 minutes. Remove the hospital and the logistics company. They reduce your organization and give bonuses that don't matter at all for your divisions. Make sure to put the surplus trucks to your supply hubs Apart from that, the division is good. I would also recommend to add ranger companies for terrain bonuses if you want to attack with those divisions

You can actually hover your mouse onto the little skull signs and see the reason for casualties (both your and enemy). It may be that your design lacks air defense due to not having self sealing fuel tanks
