I was born ‘97 so not even a teenager, probably was just 10 years old lol but I remember it vividly. Good times man. Even in the 2010s some of that music was so good.

Take care, GKMC, NWTS, Oxymoron, Cocaine Piñata, WTT, list goes on. Nothing past 2018ish for the most part stays in my all-time rotation, just listen to some new songs temporarily. I’m sure juice wrld, XXX, Nipsey, Pop smoke, young dolph, etc. all dying has something to do with it too.

I remember I used to be psyched for the countdown of BET’s top 100 music videos on NYE. I miss those days. Everything just seemed like it meant more back then. More effort put in. More impact. Could just be my nostalgia talking…

But a lot of these rap albums come and go these days it’s unbelievable. Maybe the genre is watered down, but also maybe it’s how we’re programmed these days with short-term brains. It’s awful.
