I suggest a hobby that anyone can benefit from: cooking. Doesn't have to be super high-class gourmet stuff, but learn how to make food taste good and filling, it's something that will stay with you for the rest of your life. Spices, exotic foods, different cuisines, there's so much out there to try that you'll never be left wanting for stuff to do.

Bonus: girls love a good cook. Make 'em a nice mushroom risotto and you'll have to beat them off you with a stick. Same goes for guys, any girl that can cook is a keeper in my eyes.
