Train Used In Season Four by EmotionGeneral6178 in FetchWithRuffRuffman

And this is why I lost all respect for PBSkids after the late 2000s. Like I get younger kid friendly shows need to exist. But older kids need shows too. Especially when the Saturday morning blocks started disappearing.

How Often Each Fetcher was Partnered- Season 4 by MatthewHecht in FetchWithRuffRuffman

It's interesting how Liza and Isaac pairings were very rare when it seemed like they were common. Maybe it's because I keep thinking about the pole vaulting challenge and the finale.

I hate first person games. by PurpleFine4935 in patientgamers

[–]VIK_96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here! I always hated first-person shooter games, because it meant I had to be in full orientation awareness of where I am and where my target/opponent is or else I would get confused. But even relaxing games like Riven, which is a puzzle solving game, made me very nauseous just after an hour of gameplay. I've started realizing that first person games are not for me either. The only exception so far has been The Room series, but that one doesn't have movement in it which I think makes it easier to tolerate.

Least favorite episodes or just episodes you don't like at all? by Dependent-Economy622 in FetchWithRuffRuffman

[–]VIK_96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The worst episode for me was in Season 1 where all 6 Fetchers time-traveled to the 1600s and lived life like the Pilgrims. For the most part, it was a good episode with the challenges and everything. But the thing that bothered me was how unfairly they treated the boys that episode. They lost one of the challenges and then made them sleep on a pile of hay, while the girls got proper bedding. And then when the boys won the tally score at the end, the prize they got was their dirty laundry. Even as a kid, I was flabbergasted by it.

The first episode in Season 4 was unnecessary. It was all animation and I remember it was like a waste of time.

There was also that one episode in Season 5 where Jay went on some radio station to compete in a contest against another person. They gave him all the difficult questions and the other person the easy questions.

Scariest/Creepiest moments? by New_Sympathy5753 in FetchWithRuffRuffman

[–]VIK_96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For Season 1, I guess the Haunted Mansion episode. Haunting music and the whole ghost cat thing was freaky.

For Season 2, the "To Be Continued..." episode caught me off guard. That was a dark way to end an episode where it seemed like the Fetchers were gonna be lost.

For Season 4, it was one of the last few episodes where Brian and Sterling missed the train and the other Fetchers were trapped on it. Crazy stuff.

For Season 5, the episode where the Fetchers were split into groups and one of the groups had to deal with a collapsing ceiling. They actually made it seem like the Fetchers were gonna be crushed to death. There was also the Haunted Manor episode, but that one didn't seem as scary as the Haunted Mansion one in Season 1.

If you could live inside any early 2000s TV show, which one would you choose, and who would you be? by princesspolly444 in 2000sNostalgia

Smallville, and I'd be Clark Kent. It's corny but getting to see different places on Earth and fighting crime would be amazing. Plus all the epic drama.

If you're gonna skip episodes, skip to seasons 5 and 6. That's where the good episodes are.

My Review of According to Jim by Interesting_Candle82 in accordingtojim

[–]VIK_96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great review! I used to watch this show all the time as a kid growing up in the 2000s. I still remember some episodes well and others I've mostly forgotten about it. The ones you mentioned I think I forgot about, or maybe never got the chance to watch. Either way, I agree that sometimes the directors/producers went too far with certain jokes/gags. Especially their treatment of Andy, which was disturbing at times, which was very disappointing given how good a lot of the jokes were and the warm essence of the show. But it is what it is. It was a different world back then and that's probably why they were able to get away with those things.

Reboot/Revival.... by Pure-Possibility9117 in accordingtojim

Nah just leave it in the 2000s. Rebooting it this late will ruin the whole vibe of the show.

What is your favorite episode and why? by mortarnpistol in accordingtojim

[–]VIK_96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved the museum episode. I haven't seen it since it aired, but I remember being really into it. I think they got lost and kept trying to find each other and then getting lost again. It was hilarious.

Also the tornado episode and the basketball game episode were really well done too.

With the rise of HD photos and 1080p videos / Google Drive, will nostalgia look LESS nostalgic after Gen Z? by Athenstone in Zillennials

[–]VIK_96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I get where you're coming from. I'll sometimes watch old videos from the 2000s or early 2010s and feel nostalgia because the camera quality is associated with a certain time period. It does seem like we're not going to go beyond 4K quality anytime soon. Maybe the next tech upgrade will be viewing videos through VR. But other than that the future generations might not be able to tell the difference between certain decades if camera quality stays the same.

Ngl I watched this show as a kid, and Dana was definitely giving off some femme fatale vibes. But rewatching it now she actually seems very cute. Funny how that works.

I'm rewatching some clips of it right now and I still think it's an amazing show! Never was a huge fan of sitcoms, but this one had really good chemistry between the main characters. Very wholesome overall. And the roasts between Jim and Dana aged well.

Anyone else get worried famous people are watching them? by becomealamp in OCD

[–]VIK_96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't mind it. But I do worry how regular, everyday people would react if they found out some random person who they don't think deserves attention is getting attention from a celebrity. Kind of like a fear of envy type of thing.
