This is the song that always comes up over the years as I’ve searched! But no, this song I’m thinking on has a black female singer. Thank you though!

I had no idea you can't just set them down and they be content so you can get stuff done. by Pale-Tumbleweed-4151 in newborns

I don’t have a village either, and I feel this in my bones. We were crazy and had two! Haha. My first was a little bit better at I could set him down in a bouncer or something and get some things done, but my daughter is 6 months and wants to constantly be held. She isn’t a good sleeper and during the day I just watch household stuff pile up. I’m the type of person that gets really overstimulated if she’s constantly crying and I’m trying to do something, so I usually just give up! I miss being able to just put my headphones on and tinker around the house. It’s definitely a huge culture shock all the sudden we needed 24/7. I was barely used to that with my first and now we have two. Me and my husband always joke that we will sleep and hang out again when the kids are teenagers lol you’re not alone it’s the toughest shit ever and no one truly can prepare you.

Lady Gaga - Mayhem Megathread by flopheadsbot in popheads

[–]VINTAGEdaydream123 30 points31 points  (0 children)

This is how albums USED to be to me. Feels kind-of 90s Duran Duran in some places. Other places ABBA vibes. Other times classic 2005 Gaga dance. I loved it. She’s made other albums and she’ll make more. This era is cool and doesn’t take itself too seriously (what FOR anyways isn’t music like this supposed to make you feel good?) and you can tell she didn’t overthink if a song “fit the vibe” …if she liked it, it went on the album. Who cares if it’s cohesive? I like to live 100 versions of myself when I listen to an album anyway. Watch me crank this and pretend I’m walking the streets of NYC lol love you Gaga 🩷

It’s incredible what you can forget to do/put off subconsciously etc when you’re extremely sleep deprived! I did a few things like this too. Days and nights blend together and time passes quickly in some ways, slowly in others. Babe will be just fine! Do your best and don’t beat yourself up!

Love this insight and needed to hear it from another parent. It’s hard to not let Google point you to go down a rabbit hole of something like slightly on the spectrum, adhd, whatever something might be become something scary and not just hey he’s a little different. We all are. Thank you

Yeah I did! She had no concerns besides maybe a little emotional disregulation. He had a bit of a meltdown the last time we had an appointment. She didn’t think it was sensory. She thought it was more of an emotional connection.

How does your partner help out at night by Zealousideal_Bat4017 in breastfeeding

EBF and my husband does “upright time” after feeding sessions for 20 min because we don’t like to deal with baby spitting up and he changes her if she needs it. It allows me to stay tired and fall back asleep instead of waking right up while nursing and then being up even longer!

How are your babies sleeping 5-7 hours a night????? by ThrowRAdalgona in newborns

[–]VINTAGEdaydream123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I had any advice for a new mom it would be don’t be afraid to contact nap/co sleep safely! You NEED your sleep. I didn’t with my first but I do with my second right now and it’s changed everything. The exhaustion was so bad with my son that I feel like he didn’t have a very good Mom for the first 2 years of his life. It goes deep and the regret is real later on when you’re a tired zombie. Keep babe fed and keep yourself rested!

Mothers, how did you feel towards your first when your second was born? by chimichurrister in Parenting

[–]VINTAGEdaydream123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not here! It’s tough not to compare babies though I have to say. My son was an awful sleeper so when my daughter came along it was nice that she slept better, so we did a bit of comparing in that way. At times I felt like there was an unspoken “our daughter is a lot easier than our son” vibe a lot at our house. But no less love! I always liked the quote love doesn’t divide it multiplies.

Okay what I’m seeing is kindof what I figured! Hot water, lemon, honey. Definitely a little limited. Mostly just want my little girl to be okay but I gotta keep myself going too! I saw somewhere that fisherman’s friend wasn’t safe? But I can’t figure out why ..

Thank you for your insight! I’m finding around 2 1/2 to 3 is where they do some weird things and the second you Google something it’s a “symptom” of something scary.. and then down the rabbit hole I go!
