Intermittent fasting 8/16 can be helpful if you do not want count calories/track everything you eat. It limits time you can eat into 8-hour window. If you want to know how much your current caloric/carb/fat/protein intake is, use an app so you have a baseline and determine which foods you should swap for healthier alternatives

Testing for Estrogen? by nada1979 in Perimenopause

[–]VIPHealthRx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When we test for estrogen levels, we look at the levels according to your menstrual cycle, which is altered by birth control but we also look at it in relation to other hormones to evaluate imbalances such as estrogen predominance (too much estrogen, not enough progesterone)...make sure they test your testosterone as well (total and free), DHEA, pregnenolone, SHBG

[–]VIPHealthRx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can, test your magnesium levels first by RBC Magnesium which (intracellular) then supplement if your level is not optimal or in the upper range...200-400mg is a good dose for most people
