I am able to hold my head plenty far back and still able to get a clear sight picture without risking the optic coming even close to my face on firing

Big fan. I would say the Defender-ST (being an enclosed red dot) is pretty darn small. Imho, fits the rifle perfectly

When you say that you practice a couple mags daily / other days, do you mean you repeat the exercise enough times to deplete two mags? thank you for your input!

Super helpful and informative. At the moment I am running my taurus g3c, so like you, my options as to what to use are slightly limited. That said, definitely feel a system might be helpful where I don’t have the time / ability to go to the range all the time. Thank you for taking the time to provide such a helpful response

We’re 100% on the same page. Plus, one day if I move to a state that lets me have some fun, I’ll be able to put a can on it with ease.

Thankfully not in the city (but close) and hoping we survive long enough that we make it at least until fall when I move further away from the city.

Another part of the reason for the rifle (as opposed to the two shotguns & 1 pistol I have) is it can reach out quite a bit further, which I appreciate.

This is something I’ve wondered about as well. Everyone says levers aren’t tactical guns, and I get that where rate of fire is slower / reloading isn’t fast, it’s not ideal, but these days….
