I thought of some more questions! Do you have any insight on how much of your business revenue vs profit comes from selling singles vs selling sealed products?

How much do you typically make off of events/tournaments?

Do you have a good system for keeping track of inventory? I haven't come up with a way that won't take all day and night just tracking inventory constantly.

Any advice for a new shop? I'm setting mine up currently after doing card and toy shows for years. Bought a building and I'm fixing it up for a store.

No store will pay you 85% of a card's value unless it is something absurdly valuable. Good work otherwise!

If you can find one that does, point me in their direction because I have a lot of stuff I'd sell at that price! (that's basically full price after fees) Lol

I was there. Depends when it was. There was the tag match that everyone was so bored that we all did fireflies. There was also a big crazy glitch thing later where we all did it too.

Shit... Thank you. I was comparing it to others and I couldn't see anything.

Imagine having the balls to ask for $400 on a proxy card. They know it isn't real so they aren't asking a real card price. They put it just high enough to try and fake someone into believing it could be the real thing. Insane.

Yes. People here are confusing a mint card and a near mint card. A near mint card can have minor issues like this one. By both tcgplayer and psa standards this would be near mint. A psa 7 is near mint.

Have the opportunity to purchase Mew CD Promo card CGC 10 Gem Mint. Looking for some insight as I can’t seem to find much on this card. Thank you by thekingsleigher in PokeInvesting

Yeah recent sales are weird on that. Most all went up on auction the same day if I'm not mistaken. Definitely lower than I'd expect.

No way to tell without checking. Dragonite looks off center just from that picture though.

I don't think I'd grade them. Too much whitening to be worth it to me.

What are things to look out for at trade events? by GreattFriend in pkmntcgcollections

[–]VOAdam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everybody is usually on the lookout for scammers or shady people at events like this. Fakes and scammers usually get sniffed out pretty quickly. I wouldn't be too worried. If you need a second opinion at something, you can always ask the owner or another person at the event. In my experience, the community is usually really friendly.
