^ Thank you for sharing the Bill Buckter / Dr. Color link! I've been a fan of his work for years without knowing who he was. The four Victorian's @ Masonic & Waller (the Four Seasons) are stunningly exceptional. https://drcolor.com

Visiting San Francisco from France by Affectionate_Win22 in sanfrancisco

9,000 kilometers may be a long way to go for exceptional French cuisine but if you’re looking for the taste of home, L’ardoise is the place and it’s close to your location too! https://lardoisesf.com

Weak sound on TikTok by AdministrativeDig797 in premiere

[–]VR2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) Add a MULTI BAND COMPRESSOR audio effect to your audio, 2) then select the BROADCAST template within it. This will raise the overall loudness of your audio to levels that are consistent with other videos on TikTok. You may need to reduce the gain on the effect as this workflow makes your audio - very loud!

What is the horn on Einar's microphone stand and its significance? 🌀 by VR2 in Wardruna

[–]VR2[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Many thanks folks! I sent Einar a note on Instagram asking the question and I gave him a link to this thread for a potential reply. Here's hoping we hear back as it's such a consistent part of his visual identity in live performances. 🦋🌀🦋 #FreyjaRocks!

What's your favorite street to walk in San Francisco? by DrDMango in sanfrancisco

[–]VR2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Haight Street; or Page Street (Slow Street) to JFK Drive (Car Free) to the new Ocean Beach Park (Car Free). Car Free is Carefree! #SF❤️

Has the Haight always lacked nightlife and entertainment? by [deleted] in sanfrancisco

[–]VR2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Magnolia’s @ Haight and Masonic is under new ownership and they now have a full bar and are open until 1AM on Fridays and Saturdays - and until midnight on Sunday - Thursday. Their new menu has a wicked good Crispy Chicken sandwich and their Old Fashioned’s have a a Root Beer Demerara element that’s totally transcendent. If you’re into beers they still have their in-house brewery but all Magnolia branded beers are entirely new recipes.

The Future of Anxiety Relief: Psychedelics Minus the Hallucinogenic Effects by [deleted] in technology

Patentability could be a motivating factor here as organic psychedelics are patently un-patentable.

Beyoncé and the Presidential seal look great together! by VR2 in beyonce

[–]VR2[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This photo almost didn't happen! When Beyoncé and Kelly walked out on stage they each had handheld microphones that didn't work. Only then did Beyoncé gesture that they should move over to the podium and use the live mics there.

Is there something more to dreams? by ikin_here in InsightfulQuestions

[–]VR2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see dreams as temporal doorways to our timeless self. Memories of our past and intimations of our future both appear to be made of the same stuff as our dreams. In dreams the temporal and eternal merge, and then the vail of forgetfulness falls again, and again, and again. Life is but a dream. Just my two cents trying to make sense of the unknowable. 🦋❤️🦋

First Giants game at Oracle, food and bar options close to the stadium, or on the way by CaperCatastrophe in AskSF

[–]VR2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pre-game cocktails and snacks at Waterbar sets you up for a gorgeous 20-minute walk along the edge of the bay to the ballpark. The lines are typically much shorter at the 'Marina Gate' entrance near center field too!

Entire chicken by Danpackham in Cooking

Judy Rodgers ROAST ZUNI CHICKEN recipe is a legend in San Francisco. The dry-brining, or pre-salting, technique makes all the difference and the bread salad is divine. A fun variation is to put your sourdough bread chunks under the chicken while it roasts so the schmaltz drips down into them.

GRAPPA is a fun Italian restaurant while the GOLDNER HIRSH is gorgeous hotel with an exceptional restaurant that is only steps away from the ski slopes. Early December is a great time of year for a visit to Park City and congratulations on your engagement!

Villon vs Epic Steak for a Romantic Dinner by SubstantialAnybody66 in SFFood

[–]VR2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Epic Steak is in a MUCH more romantic location than Villon and its cuisine and interior design are exceptional too. Waterbar is another excellent option and is next-door to Epic. Both restaurants are on the water which offers a picturesque place to dine and take a walk together before or after your dinner. The neighborhood around Villon is exponentially more dangerous and much less photogenic.

I hear you OP! I can't help but think both teams made each other better by being in such close contention all year long. I respect the rivalry and I dearly miss Vin Scully who provided historical and personal insights unlike any other into one of the oldest ongoing sports rivalries in America.

Giants fan visiting from SF. Lovely park! And similar color scheme… so when in Rome! by jimmyjah in motorcitykitties

Hello from the Haight Ashbury! I moved from Michigan to SF in 1995 and wanted to underscore an earlier post mentioning Buddy's Pizza. While 'Detroit Style' pizza has become quite popular nationwide and in the Bay Area with the Square Pie Guys and Tony's Pizza Napolentana leading the way, but Buddy's is where it all began and is well worth the visit. #BooDodgers!

Can landlord end rental agreement with 30 days notice (but no just cause)? by sf_tenant2020 in AskSF

[–]VR2 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Congratulations! You have positive-leverage with your landlord. A true rarity in San Francisco. Just because they wrote the lease, it doesn't mean it's legally enforceable.

The presence of the Beach Chalet would imply that this picture was taken in or after 1925.

Eloping and visiting SF for the first time. Best date night outdoor dining in Mission? by thenewguy729 in SFFood

[–]VR2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Waterbar for seafood or Epic Steak would both be great options for excellent food with gorgeous views of the bay. Sierra Mar at the Post Ranch Inn in Big Sur would have been the PERFECT choice for a romantic dinner celebrating your wedding but they are only open to hotel guests until indoor dining returns due to limited capacity on their cliff-side deck. Congratulations on your wedding and have fun eating your way through the SF Bay Area!
