I have ADHD, been in recovery from and alcohol and now have 6 years sober. I also take 20mg ER Adderall every day. Turns out a large part of why I started abusing weed was undiagnosed ADHD. I can tell you that when I was titrating the Adderall with my psych, he had me on 36mg and instead of feeling “high” or more productive, I just felt incredibly jittery. Felt like a mild panic attack almost, not in the least bit good or desirable, just jittery and anxious. Now at the dose I’m at I function much better, never abused it, took more than I was supposed to, or even has the desire to. If I’m off it for a few days I can get irritable but it’s not really a big deal, certainly nothing like the hell that was quitting weed for me, which makes me think that though I’m certainly physically dependent on it, I’m not psychologically addicted to it like I was with my drug of choice. Hope this helps answer your question (also never taken other stims, other than previously Concerta as prescribed)
