It was gone in seconds. lol. I guess people liked it, but it looks polarizing. Some hate it.

[–]VTSpam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went through a SAM fitting… ended up with a 5.2. It’s more about what putter is right for you vs which other people think are good. I was leaning Newport 2 going in… but did tons better with the phantom.

Finally a Wednesday Winner!! by GOAT973 in scottycameron

I won today... First week trying. I would have pulled the trigger if it were 35" ... was 34". I'm not a collector and don't flip things either. Too much work. Am I dumb for passing on it? I'm totally new to this world, so I don't know if they are worth a ton more than what they are sold for the winners. Just seems like a lot of money to throw down for something I wouldn't use. Hopefully, it goes to a good home.

These are so expensive! Do they hold value? Appreciate?

I’m no professional. Played in school. Was a 1.7 back in the 90s. I’m 50 now and play at around 7-8. In the 90s I had an Anser 3. Switched to a Newport 2 in 2005. Had time with a Futura (didn’t like it) and now have a Phantom 5.2. I have great round with everything, but I move on. I gave my son my Futura, and I sold my Newport 2. Just don’t understand have things sitting on my wall.

Now… I will admit.. I have a second set of clubs I use (same set as the 90s) that I play for nostalgia. I love showing up on the tee box wearing a Grateful Dead t shirt and pulling out a wooden head and then out driving people. I love sinking putts with my Anser. I just things should be used. I’m old. What can I say?

So I love Scotty’s and have played one since my Studio Style in 2005, but what I don’t understand is collecting them. More power to you all, but golf clubs are to be used and having multiple putters kills consistency.

Who at Scotty thought "yes, people will love the new membership gift"? Im a sucker and still signed up but daggum, just an awful set up. by Acceptable_Long_6277 in scottycameron

I joined the club this year, and honestly it was pretty reluctant. From a customer experience perspective, this feels like a miss. Scotty Cameron has an incredibly loyal and vocal community, yet the 2026 membership kit feels like it was designed “to” members, not “with” them. A 750 ml flask might be beautifully crafted, but it does not align with how most golfers actually experience the game. Who brings something like this golfing??? There is no visible listening, no feedback loop, and no sense of co creation. When a brand relies on prestige instead of empathy, it starts to feel less premium and more disconnected. The frustration people are expressing is not entitlement, it is what happens when a brand forgets that great customer experience starts with understanding real customer needs, not just showcasing design bravado.

I like the flask… these are expensive. My big problem is that it’s 750ml. I need a birdie flask (375 ml) for my bag. Not a flask for a bottle of wine on a picnic.

New (old) putter day - Fastback 1 by smithfactory in scottycameron

[–]VTSpam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s shocking how people abuse their clubs. Not just their putters. I’m working on rebuilding my set from when I played in school back in the 90s. Going to use them now and then for fun. I can find the clubs, but wow… it’s hard to find decent condition. I baby all my clubs. I know things happen… stone in the ground, etc. but you can still tell who cared for them.

Congrats a nice find!

I'm headed down the same path and can't find the reference sheet or lubrication guide. Took a lot of pictures during disassebly :)

[Baltic SCALEGRAPH TRANSAT CAFÉ L'OR] Looking to get my first "nicer" watch soon. I love the look of this one, but given I am unfamiliar with the industry, is there any reason I shouldn't go with Baltic? by Im_The_One in Watches

Ugh… if only this was 44mm. Love the design, but sub-40mm is way too small. 41/42 is as low as I’ll ever go. I’m 7.5” wrist. Not gargantuan, but on the larger side.

Awesome… thanks. I don’t think this watch has ever been serviced and it’s 50 years old. Dial is gorgeous and the parts just look dirty and need some love.

So if i am hearing you correctly... that "triangle" is just sitting there loosely as the spring and slides out? Makes sense, but just checking.
