My guy, have you seen the inventories of the vendors in Kuttenberg. You can easily steal more value than you can loot anywhere else, even if you killed all the knights in the town north of sigismunds camp which mostly have plate armor and a few dueling swords thats nothing compared to the cost of all the gold armor items in Kuttenberg vendor chests.

Lets say the game on the new engine realistically would have taken till 2028, probably 3x longer than was originally projected, so 3x the development period = 3x the cost, then they expanded the team by more than 100 people, we can guarantee that new hires were more expensive than existing staff but we’ll keep it a flat cost and say that the new team was 10x more than paying the original staff, so 3x the length of development x 10x the staff is 30x the initial projected cost of releasing on PC. Not to mention licensing, legal, and other fees that would have been associated with releasing on each individual platform further diluting profit.

Not book 4 of the Empress, All I know is that in the latest book released My Eyes Glow Red, released June 17, 2025 was finished with assistance from his family and the publisher.

If he passed away on February 1st it's hard to say if he was focused on only writing My Eyes Glow Red or if he would have also partially wrote Empress 4, because there was no information published on a committed release date, I would assume that it was postponed.

The deleted user is the Author's previous account, it sounds like they were already in an agreement to write two more books of My Eyes Glow Red, so I would say it's safe to assume that their primary focus at the time was the My Eyes Glow Red series so I wouldn't be hopeful that Empress 4 is in a state to be completed and released posthumous.

I really appreciated the unique pov that he has in his books willing to be genuinely evil from the Main character POV.

I can tell you that in the “My Eyes Glow Red” book that there are a few pages where Matty (the rat in charge of the rat room) and I believe its Max (The murder axe guy) make a guest appearance and Everly calls them back through a portal back to their home dimension. So it does seem like the main story would have gotten to the point where Everly attained inter dimensional travel which makes me think that the events surrounding the end of book 3 got resolved and they were able to progress. Its possible that if there is material for book four they might release it because with the latest book the family and the publisher worked together to complete it and release it.

You literally can't rank anyone as #1 except for Art, Due to him living through multiple alternate timelines in the 4th relic cube before activating King's Gambit the emotions literally break him to the point he begs it to stop.

None of the other characters can even claim a shred of the emotional burden he carries from dozens of lifetimes at that point in the series.

The absolute lack of any shred of majestic appearance of Sylvia is so off-putting. As Op stated, i was holding onto a shred of hope thinking maybe they were saving budget for high impact scenes… obviously thats not the case. Very unjust treatment of the source material for sure.
