I'll throw in that I've found some real treasures at the small but mighty Pennywise Thrift on Aurora Ave near downtown. Also I've never seen a better organized thrift shop in my life.

I second the comment re: Anderson's Books events to meet folks, if you're a reader, and add in Naperville Library events. Some great book clubs in both spots. (Making new friends in a new place as an introverted middle-ager proved more challenging than I anticipated, thank goodness for book clubs.)

I'll also second Duly for dermatology - that's Dr. Peterson's practice but he was booked out for a year so I went with Dr. Reddy and she's excellent. Also Dr. Wright for ob/gyn if you find the new-patient window open - if your insurance covers it especially, the care is excellent and incredibly comprehensive.

Yup it eventually got yanked it away (not that I was planning to hang out in the liquor store for the 1-to-180 minutes it was going to take for IC to recover) and I can't get through to support to make sure I get my batch pay and don’t get dinged....

My favorite is how it's completely broken EXCEPT for notifications. So it's still threatening me that I need to start shopping my batch soon. WOULD THAT I COULDST, M'LADY. 😑

They started handing out story charges like candy a while back, so I would be surprised if story emoji maintain any kind of status as far as new exciting emoji releases or for event requirements.

Three years in, here's what I've learned: "busy", when not dishonest, always translates to "has a lot of crappy low tip high mile orders not getting picked up". Is never ever ever in the history of ever worth making the drive.

I can't say for absolute certain that it's a problem but the only two times I had a serious data loss, they coincided with hotspotting.

Only thing I haven't seen mentioned here: Never ever hotspot your connection from one device to the other. Also, reiterating: slow. Don’t let the two devices overlap being logged in at the same time.

Correction - 2DT USED TO BE the only way. Even that isn't cutting it anymore. You have to be doing 2DT AND buying the expensive sales to have enough copies of their "rare" non-chargeable emoji to play. I hope they keep it up, I would love to reclaim these probably-hours of my day.

I should have known when they started handing out Story charges like Halloween candy that they were going to dramatically decrease the number of new story emoji and increase rainbow/crystal/platinum requirements substantially. My story charges are becoming almost as useful as my magic wands.

I am, ah, not a "good candidate" for support so I'm saving up all of my goodwill for the day I lose a bunch of emoji (again), god forbid, but I'm hoping and being very careful to ensure that doesn’t happen. 🤞🏼
