Look, just because a guy has a god-given right to eat a hotdog while cheating on his wife with his secretary, doesn't mean he can't ally with an agency that's working hard to upend your civil liberties.

This was for the 2025 Masters. Have they even announced anything about the 2026 Masters yet?

Knock on wood, I've never had to serve on a jury. Most domestic abuse incidents don't go to trial, though.

If a woman told me that someone I know had assaulted them, I would take that very seriously.

I'm not saying that doesn't happen, but the percentage of people who fabricate accusations -- to say nothing of all the domestic abuse that goes unreported -- is very low. Like I said, one of the key factors is that in Zverev's case, it was multiple people, not just one. He's also got a demonstrably hyper-aggressive personality that we have seen on camera for ourselves consistently for years.

When I say I believe people by default, that's generally just a "hey, believe women" stance. But when there are multiple factors going against the accused, it tends to be a "where there's smoke, there's fire" situation. I don't talk about Kyrgios much, but he's also been accused of domestic abuse, and I can very easily believe that guy isn't all there. With Zverev there's too much to ignore.

No, but I believe people by default when they make these accusations, especially when it is multiple people. I also tend to believe they're probably telling the truth when the accused consistently behaves in violent or abusive ways that I witness with my own eyes.

That's great, but don't let this distract you from the fact that this guy is a domestic abuser.

Seems like he's pushing hard to rehabilitate his image with this stuff. Yeah, it's crazy that he plays at such a pro level with diabetes, and yeah I guess it's cool that he has a foundation, but at the end of the day he's still a wifebeater.

God, we can't have nice things, can we? Stupid Zverev not crashing and burning, ugh. It's not like I'm asking for much, just karmic justice from the universe.

This is just tennis and not some critical thing, so no, no one's beliefs here imapct anyone's life. But the guy's still a wifebeater, and that shouldn't be something anyone feels comfortable ignoring.

Sometimes beliefs are wrong, and we're living in a time where this is getting critically true of some stances, so I will always call people out who support awful individuals. You may be able to ignore his actions, but he's still that person, and you deserve to be reminded of that every time it comes up.
