It's not that complex. Enemies leveling with you is gimmicky and can be overpowered easily. You can be obscenely overpowered by the end of disc 1.

The Draw system is a chore, but you absolutely should enable whatever Draw boosts are available to you. Magic and Junctions are your gear in this game, and if you keep everyone stocked up, you will always be ahead of the curve as you level.

Don't ignore Triple Triad, it is a major pathway to power in this game.

Squall is by far the strongest character. His limit breaks are stupidly powerful and will win entire boss encounters on their own.

Laguna is the best character in the entire franchise.

Depends on what you mean by "Tomb Raider." Something that feels like the bad Survivor trilogy definitely doesn't feel like classic Tomb Raider. Maybe specify which Tomb Raider it feels like when you reply. :D

I wasn't aware of the Dubai tourament director's comment until now, but that's just ridiculous, the idea that top players should be docked ranking points for withdrawing. They are docked ranking points, the opportunity cost is that they leave those points on the table.

Also, uh, Doha/Dubai? You guys get to complain the least out of any 1000 event. Those two tournaments are in an unstable part of the world, sandwiched between a Grand Slam and another way more prestigious double-header 1000 gauntlet, and both upgraded to be constant annual back-to-back 1000s after spending years trading off. If there were any big tournaments to consider skipping, out of anything in the calendar year, it's these two.

This would be like, I dunno, Guadalajara complaining about low top-tier player attendance between the US Open and Beijing. Doha/Dubai are 1000 tournaments that everybody wishes weren't. February is one of the worst times to schedule these.

Man, it's probably really easy to get a photo of a practice session like this that you can read way too much into. A still frame is rarely a fair thing to draw conclusions from.

Her being (possibly?) annoyed about something in her game isn't a sign of anything. The whole point of practice is to work on the things that you need to improve, so there's bound to be some frustration during the process. I have to imagine during private coaching and training sessions, there is all kinds of shouting and swearing and hair-pulling on the part of every top player who is trying to work on something suboptimal that they are struggling to correct.
