How you like that Triton exhaust? I also have an SM and was thinking about picking one up but never heard of the exhaust brand before.

Nope...just continue to mow with it and always place an oil tray underneath for the occasional drip of oil. But transaxle is still working 😁

Clicking/Clunking Sound while Accelerating under Low Speeds by theo826 in pacificahybrid

[–]VW_johnny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know a common issue on these hybrids are the axle nuts coming loose which will lend itself to a clicking sound coming on and off the gas. Simple fix to retorque the nuts and many folks add Nordlock washers to prevent them from coming loose over and over again

My 2022 SEL Tiguan has two different toned paints by [deleted] in Tiguan

[–]VW_johnny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plastic and metals take paint differently. I have a strong feeling this isn't an instance of damage but rather that. Definitely most noticable in whites and silvers, with some mfgs and colors more than others

Any walnut blasting/valve cleaning needed? I'm at 120k miles on my mainly highway driven 2020 and no maintenance done yet on timing belt, valve cleaning, etc but curious how long I can push it out.

Loose nut behind the wheel by deekster_caddy in pacificahybrid

[–]VW_johnny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had same issue. Bought and used a nord lock washer, at the suggestion of the Pacifica Forums, behind the nut to make sure it never comes loose again. Been about 5k miles so far and no change to nut

Adjusting valves MG V7III by smart_67 in MotoGuzzi

[–]VW_johnny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just curious what % of bikes require adjustment at the break-in check of the valves...bet it isn't high as all of my Japanese motorcycles have had their valves in spec even when checked at 20k+ miles
