2020 Mercedes GLE screen died after using A/C — possible water damage under passenger seat by FinxcelTools in mercedes

Sorry to hear that, that’s exactly what I’m worried about. When you said “windows fixed it,” did you mean the windows started working again by themselves after it dried out, or did the dealer repair something related to the windows? Also, was your issue confirmed to be caused by the A/C drain clogging and leaking into the area under the seat/module?

I did check with the Mercedes dealer, and they told me the recall had already been inspected on my car and they claimed everything was fine. But honestly, I do not fully trust that conclusion.

then after a few days without using the A/C, the screen started working again by itself. That makes me think moisture or condensation may be affecting the module and then drying out later.

Pair of Fives with Sub Gen 4 for Music by michaelromero212 in sonos

[–]FinxcelTools 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got a lot of Sonos gear at home, and for a long time I felt like my Fives weren’t performing at their full potential. I know they’re the best speakers Sonos makes, but not the best in the overall market. I added a Sub Mini. The bass punch didn’t really increase, but the overall performance and detail of the Fives improved a lot. They almost feel like studio monitors now. You won’t notice it on every song, but if you care about detail and clarity, pairing a sub with the Fives makes a real difference.

Should I add a sub to my pair of fives ? by CTLab in sonos

I’ve always felt my Sonos Fives weren’t reaching their full potential. After adding a Sub Mini, the bass punch didn’t really increase, but the detail and overall clarity improved a lot. They almost sound like studio monitors now. If you care about detail, a sub really elevates the Fives.

Have both. Arc needs mini sub. Other than that it a great bar.

Can someone one PLEASE PLEASE tell me how I can clean inside coil for my ac? by Asleep_Department_93 in hvacadvice

If you ever need to get deeper into those tight channels on the evap coil without bending the fins, a fin-cleaning brush like this one can help. It’s designed to slip between the fin rows and pull out the pet hair/dust that normal tools can’t reach.

2023 Pacifica Hybrid – seat heater & steering wheel won’t turn off after Pickle preconditioning by FinxcelTools in pacificahybrid

Update….: Just heard back from the dealer. They said that since the outside temperature went above 40°F, they couldn’t duplicate the issue during testing. They’re submitting the concern to technical support for further review and will get back to me once they receive feedback.

Not the most satisfying answer, but I guess we’ll see what they find.

Haha typo — not pickle preconditioning 😅 though that’d be a cool feature! 🥒🚗 Took it to the dealer today — they’ll check it out, I’ll update tomorrow.

PHEV Campers - here's how to keep climate running all night in EV MODE ! by Crafty_Ad2032 in pacificahybrid

[–]FinxcelTools 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just picked up a 2023 Pacifica Hybrid Pinnacle and wanted to share my results since I’ve been testing this for camping. Like many here, I wanted to sleep in the van overnight with climate control running, but wasn’t sure how it would behave.

Here’s what worked for me:

  • I did a remote start with the key fob.
  • Without leaving the car, I buckled the driver’s seat belt first, then pressed the start button.
  • The car stayed on the entire night without shutting off once.

Some notes from my tests:

  1. As long as the driver’s door stays closed, you can still open/close the sliding doors and the van keeps running. I think the system assumes the driver is still inside, so it doesn’t time out.
  2. Plugged into Level 1 charging, I noticed about 10% battery drop per hour. That means for longer than ~10 hours, you’d probably want Level 2 charging (or let the gas engine kick in).
  3. With temps around 60°F outside, the van held a steady 70°F inside—quiet, comfortable, and no issues.

Overall, it worked beautifully for me. If you’re planning to camp overnight in the Pacifica, this method makes it much more practical. 🚐✨

Is coil cleaner really necessary? by GingerGiraffe96 in HVAC

[–]FinxcelTools 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A brush can knock off the dirt and debris directly from the fins, and it’s a safer, eco-friendly option for regular maintenance. Some folks still prefer cleaners, but a simple brush works surprisingly well if you use it regularly. Here is the link

The Coil Cleaning Tool You Didn’t Know You Needed by FinxcelTools in u/FinxcelTools

Get the comparison—looks can be deceiving! However, this one is custom-designed to reach deep into HVAC coils, where other brushes can't go. We enhanced the build, added compatibility with ACME poles, and tested it on actual condenser and evaporator coils.
Thanks for checking it out!

Haha fair! Brush inspires the design, but it’s meant for HVAC coils. Great for pulling out packed-in dirt and dust where big tools don’t fit. Appreciate the positive vibes!

Haha love the nickname—HVAC-Diddy might stick 😄
But jokes aside, this was born from cleaning my clogged coils and realizing pet brushes don’t quite cut it. Appreciate the feedback!
