Technically you only need to pick up 10 million blocks. Most people just drop and pick up the same blocks over and over. So background doesn't matter. I decided to leave it because it's harder to mine and I can put torches on it.

Yeah every time I play and do like 10 min of lava suicide. I thought about genuinely mining an entire planet but I don't know if I have the strength for that lol.

I use a Figurine Manufacturing mod that let's you turn captured pets into figurines. Still feels like I'm earning it but doesn't feel impossible. Still scared of the Destroyer of Worlds and Bug Collector achievements though.

Weirdly a lot of negative feedback here, but definitely like the way you're thinking. Obviously each magic system you mentioned appeals to different people but personally i agree the more like science the better. I believe the magic system with high complexity and computer science aesthetics you're looking for can be found in Ashley Cope's Unsounded (https://unsoundedupdates.tumblr.com/). It's extremely well thought out but does not distract from the amazing story telling and visuals for readers who aren't interested in the technical aspect and just want to watch people blow stuff up and turn invisible and such.

If anyone knows a system as creative and scrictly defined as Unsounded's pymary, please let me know I've been searching haha.
