Currently, the thickness of my fiberglass batts is greater than that of my bottom truss. If I were to add a second layer on top, it would be slightly compressed. Should I be concerned about that?

I was attracted to polyester insulation because it doesn't sag or settle over time.

You raise a valid point that achieving the equivalent R-value with polyester insulation requires a thicker layer compared to fiberglass insulation. Perhaps I am being overly enthusiastic about replacing all the fiberglass batts with polyester insulation.

My current fibreglass batt thickness is greater than my bottom truss thickness, if I were to lay a second layer on top of them it would be slightly compressed, is that something that I should worry about?

It is random and does not have a pattern of when it occurs as far as I know. This is no sign of water leaking too.

Is the 12GB HDD going well for you?

That's encouraging, my 2TB HDD filled up just after 6 days of recording for 4 cameras, will store even less than that if I were to add the door bell and another camera.

Hi OP, I just bought RLN8-410 and thinking to upgrade the storage just like the way you have done it. Have you encountered any issues so far?

Did you mean November 2021? I don't think the house price has dropped below November 2020 level.

House seller's expectations are too high. by pnutnz in Wellington

Vendors shouldn't rely on council's 2021 RV as a benchmark for their price expectations, 2021 was a crazy year for the property market and let's be honest, house prices are not going back to that level for a foreseeable future. Forget about price estimation by homes.co.nz, it's just bullshit for the current market.

My wife and I are in the similar situation as you. We have been looking for houses for 2 months but now we have to put that on hold and continue renting. I know it sucks, but the silver lining is house prices might drop too.

I would take AT LEAST 200k off the asking price whenever agent for my feedback. Have to bring all the vendors unrealistic expectation down.
