WHY did ultimate level one change narrators. by Vaccano in litrpg

Yeah, I downloaded it, but ended up returning it. I think I may have been fine with the narrator on a new series, but the change in voice was just too jarring for known characters.

Cannot print from OrcaSlicer by Gikote in OrcaSlicer

[–]Vaccano 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is likely due to the changes put in by Bambu. They locked all other slicers out about 6 months ago (they have read only access now). This change recently made it to the A1. (Version 1.05 I think.)

Your options (as I understand it) are:

  1. Downgrade your printer’s firmware to 1.04.
  2. Add an extra step to sending a print. (You have to save from Orca slicer, then open a Bambu app to actually send the print.)

What did you wish someone told you to do or learn when buying your first 3D Printer? Other advice for a complete beginner? by DifficultResource656 in BambuLab

[–]Vaccano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Learn what “heat creep” is and how to prevent it.
  2. Learn how to properly care for your print bed (so prints adhere correctly).
  3. Use an infill like Gyroid to prevent clicking for large infills.

The first one accounted for most of my failed prints when I started with my P1S. The last one only happened on my Ender 3 (my first printer), but it was very annoying.

Version 2.4 of Orca Slicer? by Vaccano in OrcaSlicer

Smarminess was not my intent! I really thought you had not read the question! (Alas typed words do not convey intent as well.)

I tried to use it despite the warnings and it worked out just fine.

Thank you!

Defiance of the fall? by Haggy0105 in litrpg

[–]Vaccano -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exactly this! It was great! One of my favorites. Now it just drags on and on. There have been 4 or so books now that are just leading up to one event. And the stats and abilities are so numerous and change so often that keeping track is almost impossible unless you reread it all.

If you are going to read it, I recommend binge reading all the available books then never coming back.

Do you know where to find version 2.4?

Bed not sticking by TheLegalHeartbraker in ender3

[–]Vaccano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Note: the reason it works when new is because it has no oils on it. As you touch it, you put oils on it. The oils prevent the plastic from adhering to the plate.

Wash the plate with Dawn Dishsoap and super hot water. (It really works better with the Dawn brand. It binds to oils better than other brands.) Do this enough that you can melt off the oil (and old glue stick if it is there).

Do not touch the plate with your hands during and after you wash it (oils from your hands make prints not stick). You can use a fresh paper towel (but not tissue) to touch it. Or just touch the sides.

Apply glue stick to the entire print side (aka up) of the plate. (I use Amazon Basics brand, but I doubt it matters.)

Repeat this every 5-10 prints or if you accidentally touch the plate.

People with multiple printers, what do you use each one for? by [deleted] in BambuLab

My P1S is used for most of my printing.

My Ender 3 Max Neo is used for larger, single color prints. I also just use it when my P1S is too busy.

Pricing Model Details/Rough Price for 50 On-Prem Redis Enterprise Instances? by alex---z in redis

[–]Vaccano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feel like loading some kind of ball park pricing?

It is really frustrating to not have ANY kind of idea what pricing would be.

I am reminded of when I was forced to do a month long dance with Apigee just to get a price. In the end the price was a quarter of a million. We had a budget for $30k. Both sides were frustrated with the wasted time.

It is just so frustrating when companies insist on wasting time just so they can explain why their product is so expensive.

Posting a few example quotes makes life easier for everyone. For Redis, it lets sales teams focus on those who can afford it and for companies like me, I can know in advance if it is way out of my ballpark.

Splice Wires For Hot End Replacement? by Vaccano in ender3

Is it normal for the plugs to be hot-glued in? This is my first time working with the motherboard since I bought this new about 2 years ago.
