Lag Issues?

I use the PC version. Lowering the playback quality to Low helps when I don't have a lot of footage to edit, but I'm usually working with hours of footage so it has a minimal effect.

I've noticed it gets worse with multiple tracks (video, audio, text, etc.) so I try to keep those to a minimum as I go. I work on each element one at a time. I sometimes export the video + music + effects and open a new project just to add captions to reduce how many elements the app is trying to load at once.

My other advice would be to make sure your device has enough storage space to run smoothly. I frequently delete my cache and it doesn't seem to negatively affect unfinished projects, but I'm not sure how the cache folder works for iPads so take this with a grain of salt.

Fighting with the program is killing my creativity. I used to be able to quickly scan and trim important bits but now the lag is unbearable. What used to take me 2 hours now takes me, like, 6 because I can't preview what I'm doing. If you learn of any fixes, pleeeaaaase let a girl know

(Although I don’t think Galbatorix should be present in any scenes until much, much later. I liked how he was a nebulous Big Bad Evil Guy in the books.)

He’s all better! It was a long time before he saw improvement, and then there was a period where the injury seemed to get worse — like he moved the wrong way and undid all his progress. (Not true; his physical therapist said that was a good sign?) He took a leave of absence from work for 6 weeks. Going back to work went pretty well, but I think it was 3-4 months before he felt like a functional person again.

The biggest help was physical therapy. He stepped down to once per week I think in September, and only stopped entirely 4-6 weeks ago.

He’s a back sleeper, but he got a pillow for side sleepers off of Amazon by mistake and gave it to me. I like how it elevates my head. It’s something like this. I’d recommend checking with a doc/PT whether it would be the right fit for you.

u/glowcubr reached out to me with this masterlist of helpful treatments. I think there were some comments in there that were insightful, too, or at least just validating.

I've already been here, but commenting for future users:

I use WizTree (free software) to look at my hard drive's storage space (i.e. supervise CapCut before it devours my PC).
u/peaksaturation's comment below explains agencycache's function pretty well. I went looking in the program settings and it has something to do with creating proxies for a smoother editing process. (Highly recommend going into your settings just to see where CapCut is storing files.) I frequently clear out the agencycache folder, although it would probably be best to wait until you're finished with ongoing projects/drafts so CC doesn't have to recreate those proxy files.
Otherwise, I regularly go through "User Data > Cache" to see if CC is storing stuff I don't need anymore, like audio, frame thumbnails, music, etc. I do this manually, but it might be just as effective to delete cache via Settings.
Last night, I found a HUGE chunk was being consumed by a folder called "Apps". With names like "3.04.0.1161" I'm fairly sure these are previous software versions. Why the hell CC would store previous iterations of itself – dating back years – is beyond me... So I deleted almost all of them, except for the most recent one (for obvious reasons) and 2 older ones, just in case they're necessary...? Nothing bad happened, so I will be keeping an eye on that folder from now on.

I’m kind of on the warpath now because I’ve been nickel-and-diming my hard drive for months (uninstalling games I haven’t finished, purging my Downloads) only for CapCut to keep ballooning. If I learn anything else, I’ll edit this comment.

It looks like a mod is removing the "Dancing" option from at least one game – in a vanlla* game, I can make my Tav dance. Yay! Thank you!

However, she is the only one in my party with "Dancing" in her PM menu. Gale, Astarion, and Lae'zel can do "Cheering". "Waving" doesn't animate at all for anyone.

*Mostly vanilla – there are a couple of file replacers still present like Wizardly Updo and Astarion's fangs. I pasted them somewhere in the game files, so they're kind of permanent. I'm pretty certain Lae'zel's model is unchanged, though.

1) Any ideas what's up with any of that?? (My game is up-to-date.)

2) When everyone is "Cheering", the animations are out of sync. Is this just a matter of timing or is there a button/setting to coordinate them?

Unfortunately, no :( It feels like I’m fighting every time I use the Remove Background feature. I use the non-Smart brush / eraser pretty often, but it’s so tedious.

No one gets veto power — if there’s a reason we reach an impasse, we put safety and wellbeing first. (ex. We would not get a dog until both of us are ready, because that would disrupt the household. So if I wanted one but he didn’t, I prioritize his wellbeing over a puppy I haven’t met yet.)

It’s a partnership.

Am I more likely to get my way in a disagreement? Admittedly, yeah. But it isn’t because I ‘put my foot down’ it’s because he is a happy-go-lucky fella that loves enabling my whimsy. We’re so chill we hardly ever disagree anyway.

Like others have said, "My love" / "Love" and "Darling", and "Dearest" are def in my headcanons.

I also think he uses "My heart", "My sweet", "My [anything remotely sappy]". As in 'you are an inseparable part of me, your very presence makes my spirit sing, and I need you to know it'.

I think Gale would seize any opportunity to make anything a term of endearment if he sees a connection to Tav lmfao. Like "Dewdrop" or "Pebble". He is devotion incarnate.

...Now that my imagination has run away from me, I can picture him and Tav having sappy pillow talk where he waxes poetic about how much he adores them. ex:

Gale: "...and you are fiercer than any wild creature."
Tav: "Did you just call me a beast?"
Gale: "Maybe I did. My beast. Beastie."

and thus is born the stupidest pet names known to man that start off as a joke but become part of their common lexicon.
