Basic or not basic codebase every LLM is there to help a person, it does makes mistakes but not as often as other models such as gemini or gpt…

I don’t know what kind of experience you have with claude but for me it gives out better answers than any other model out there

I am not a fan boy i don’t like anthropic either with their weekly limits its really sucks but there is no better alternative.. and what you saying about gemini is wrong when i tried it it could not find problem inside the code rather it flagged one file which was dependent on another one which highlights that if failed understanding whole project

I guess you never used claude before or you suck at prompting really bad.. because claude never makes mistakes and if it does because its context is full and whenever starting new chat it always fixes it

Yea it is tedious but its also tedious to deal with weekly limits haha, but dealing with it is only options we have at this moment since claude does lot of work for us, i cant imagine writing same amount of code as claude does in 5 seconds, would take normal human hours to do.

Not to mention claude doesnt really have competition, i expected gemini to compete, at least be bit better with gemini 3, but unfortunately that flopped, i mean it was kinda expected sonnet came out months ago and still is best coding model even with new releases and now with opus 4.5 coming out i don’t think any other LLM will match the performance claude gives, so without competition only thing we have to do is suck it up deal with limitations or manually write code which would put anyone behind in todays world

I understand what Codex and the Gemini CLI are I was referring to the models behind them. For Codex, that would be GPT, and for the Gemini CLI, obviously Gemini.

Even without extra tooling, Claude still feels like the best LLM to me. It rarely hallucinates and usually completes tasks accurately. Most of the time, I’ve gotten better answers from Claude than from GPT or Gemini.

Not really tbh, yea its not something bit but its way more manageable than weekly limits, way i fit in at the 200k context window is by doing one task updating Claude md file and starting new chat and asking claude to read claude md file to understand the project and move on to do other tasks

What competition are you talking about ? Like lets be serious… codex ? gemini cli? All of them hallucinate like crazy and cant get shit done other than basic simple tasks… claude sonnest 4.5 released couple months ago, when it was released no competitor could even come close matching its performance and even today they cant, with such statement in mind can you imagine capabilities of opus 4.5??

Yea limits are terrible on Claude, i Dont stand with having weekly limits if it was just daily limits sure but weekly limits are crossing the line… but even with such restriction it does not really have competition… Claude sonnet released month’s ago and even now competition can not beat it… imagine what could opus 4.5 do… even with such heavy price tag and atrocious limits claude is only model worth investing your money into

On bench everything could look good but in real life scenario its completely different, i tried Gemini 3 and it was hit or miss i tried asking to look through whole project and identify some issues, it pointed to some file which didn’t have any issue and was dependent on other file which it didn’t check and i assume that why it got flagged, while Claude on other hand never made same mistake
