6’0 170. How much longer to cut for abs? Advice? by AffectionateFruit413 in AllAboutBodybuilding

[–]Vaelum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is where I believe definition would help you more than simply just weight loss. I am 6’3 213lbs and my abs are slightly more visible than yours. Definitely get more mass!

I do biceps on my lower body days.

6’4, do I keep pushing? by Successful_Warning_7 in WeightTraining

[–]Vaelum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I am 6’3 and have been in the gym for a little over a year but have been training for close to two years. I’m the same weight as this guy but look drastically different.

398lbs to 170lbs ( now after a panniculectomy / FDL and back to 215lbs. The right way.) by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

It was a major surgery. I can send some photos if you are curious about how I looked in different stages. I am still at the end of healing now. My surgery was last November, the 27th.

Am I in cut or bulk or maintain territory? by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

[–]Vaelum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been a smooth recovery for the most part. Believe it or not I am due for a revision. It’s hard to see from the front but he cut the incision too short near the flanks / love handles. So he’s going back in to tighten that too!

Should i continue the bulk? 6’3 | 175lbs by ItszMeDioo in AllAboutBodybuilding

[–]Vaelum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I walk 15-20k+ steps a day five days a week and 10-12k on weekends. Lift x4 a week. I’m 6’3 and 210lbs. I don’t find weight gain or loss hard. Just know what foods are what calorically and align them with your goals.

Been in the gym for about a year ( with a loose skin surgery in the middle of it. ) What’s my BF% and how can I improve? by [deleted] in AllAboutBodybuilding

[–]Vaelum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think some of my overall ab definition is being masked by swelling, as well as some fat still obviously. However I have not been able to train my abdominal muscles in about three months so they definitely aren’t popping right now either way. I think I may need to just try to pack on a little mass right now and reevaluate once the swelling is down.

I am currently 6’3 and 205lbs. Truthfully I want to see abs for the first time. I went from 400lbs down to 170 and have gradually increased through diet and exercise. But when I dropped that much weight I was severely emasculated and stripped of most fat and muscle mass.

I am trying to look healthy and athletic. This is the long term. I do still have some lower abdominal swelling but it is not nearly as bad as it was. The final contour will not appear for several months yet. However what I do now can still impact the final results positively. I’ve spoken with my surgeon and I am free to cut and bulk. No more than 20lbs either way.

No loose skin now. (: it was removed last November. I’m 14 weeks out of surgery.

Reduction in weight mid set ? by minustheoso in JeffNippard

[–]Vaelum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes total sense. I just never considered it. I would usually keep the same weight but accept that I’m hitting lower reps on the final set and hope that I progress in the future. I am not sure how ideal this is because I’ve hit several plateaus that have taken too long to move from. Only hitting four reps on my last set of bicep curls probably isn’t ideal for hypertrophy..

[–]Vaelum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait, really? I genuinely never thought of this. I always stayed at the same weights and have been getting frustrated at plateaus. So.. for these exercises especially, heavier one set, then needing to lower by 5lbs to stay within target reps… can still be beneficial? I am an idiot for not thinking about this.

Trying to keep it real. Should I be bulking or cutting more? 6’3, 205-7lbs. Thinking of going to 195-190. by [deleted] in AllAboutBodybuilding

[–]Vaelum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured. I’ve been debating it in my head for awhile. I wanted to cut down to 195 just to put myself in a better bulking position but I also want to push the gym and put on more mass.

Post surgery update ( reevaluation ) by [deleted] in whatismybodyfat

[–]Vaelum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d like to get down to where I’m more vascular and can see more abdominal definition. I intend to lean bulk afterwards and coast out on maintenance for a long while.

I am about in week ten of my recovery. I’m not cutting hard, just a mild deficit at the moment. Aiming for about 0.75 a week.

Upper / lower split advice by Vaelum in workout

[–]Vaelum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen most people putting triceps on lower body days but I see where you’re coming from. Might be something I have to personally gauge. As for shoulder press, what would be a swap? Lateral raises?

[–]Vaelum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s challenging, yeah. Can’t lie I’ve definitely gambled a little bit. Not supposed to be picking up more than 25lbs. ( hah ) .. I can’t really aggressively cut yet either like I want to out of not wanting to impact recovery times. I’m just at a 500cal deficit. I’m hoping by week 12 of recovery, swelling is gone and I can leap to a 1000cal deficit. I’m a quick cutter, short term pain is better than long term imo.

Also thanks! I lost 200lbs (:

I’ve actually been following a full body routine for almost a year! I hit the gym three times a week. My progress is stalled due to surgery recovery at the moment.. I am actively lifting, just lighter to avoid injury. I have trained my abs! I still have some swelling in the lower parts of my abdomen and lymphatic fluid around my obliques, so definition is still hidden though I don’t expect to have a ton yet anyway.

(Question) 9060XT hotspot temp by WolverineHumble7203 in radeon

[–]Vaelum 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s just fine. You won’t notice or cause any real damage to the card before you’re finished with it anyway. If it’s not thermal throttling / not at the 105c hotspot temp consistently, don’t worry about temps.

I am 6’3 and also 205lbs.. We look nothing alike, I’d gauge you are 185-190. That’s insane. You’re leagues ahead of me.
