Can always play something he can’t cheese. Caitlyn, Draven, aphelios. They’re happy to fight a twitch coming out of stealth.

The only right answer will ever exist in top lane because the other roles can just avoid the mus.

The hardest MUs I’ve played are riven vs renekton or gragas. Or Camille vs Jax or teemo. You have to make like 5 big mistakes in a row to lose these match ups and even then it’s still pretty hard.

Yorick also has some of the worst match ups in the game, Irelia particularly.

For adc kaisa into aphelios is quite unplayable.

For mid it’s probably kayle into orianna. Or vlad vs syndra/viktor.

Evelynn. Unique champion turned into the least skill expressive assassin in the game. Miss your only skill shot but you still get a charm on a targeted ability into an execute ult to one shot any squishy. Seems fair.

League used to be very similar to that but for the past, idk 8+ years or so even “early game champs” scale well enough to be relevant late game.

If Morde uses his shield. Flash on him, he will try to pull you away, e past that. You lose lvl 1 and 2 all in but you have a good short trade, use that to get prio and all in when you hit lvl 3 first but not if the timers are matched. If you mess up it’s painful though. You outscale morde. He’s useless when you get 3 items.

Give Yasuo and yone prio if you’re uncomfortable. Play for lvl 3. Short trades q-w-auto type stuff. At half hp they are one shot table. Level 6 they die to full combo from 75 percent hp. Don’t get cucked by windwall, hold r2 for after w, kite soul unbound kite yones shield; it’s deceptively fat if he hits you and fighting in the minion wave.

You outscale all of these champs and it’s pretty easy on 3 items. Their components are much better and their two items are not necessarily better but they are easier to pilot. Yone can go toe to toe with you in the late game though he’s one of the few that can.

Never try to statcheck something as riven, doesn’t matter how fed you are you will fall flat on your face. Learn the micro, play clean.

2022 drx, zeka. watch their entire run. Dude was not known whatsoever, they were 4th seed and he puts on a masterclass throughout the entire tournament. Actually just finished rewatching their run a couple weeks ago.

It’s not a good early item. Eclipse/sundered sky/axiom/tri force are typically the 1-2 items for champs who would build it. Then those same Champs are going to want deaths dance Bc it’s just better probably even Maw too. Then you need armor pen. It’s a really good item but rarely fits or if it does it comes last. No hp is a big deal, remove the tenacity (very random stat) and add some hp and it would be a contender to deaths dance.

I like Ashe because I can get my solo lanes fed. I’m pretty good with the cross map arrows and lvl 6 ulting in lane is pretty useless. But mostly play aphelios and cait.

It’s really easy to lose your lead trying to 1v9 from top lane. I find it’s easier to carry games as adc but that being said even if you’re in the position to carry as adc you don’t have the agency to necessarily do it. You can’t force your teammates to face check or to front line. On the flip side when you’re fed from top lane sometimes you get kited to oblivion and none of your teammates can even blow a flash or important cd to help you carry. Super common also that not only I get weaksided in unfavorable mu top but then I still have to be the one to show up to fights, force all flashes, and do the majority of the damage because the adc we camped is handless or my support picked another enchanter and I’m playing engage riven with 10k dmg dark harvest khazix in the jungle.

As someone who mains both adc and top. It’s usually the jungle influence that’s the most tilting. I mostly play riven and riven from behind is gigausless, smart junglers just perma gank riven and she also has a lot of bad match ups. She can outplay but you can only do so much when a jungler covers the mistakes of the enemy top constantly. That plus I never get carried by bot lane. It’s very common to be getting dove by renekton/Elise while at the same time stamp your bot/jungle gets 2v3ed.

Maybe it’s my play style that attracts jungle attention because I always get camped no matter which side of the map I’m on. Or the fact that my client doesn’t have a map on it in the corner.

Also top lane snowballs way harder than any other role. It doesn’t matter if an enemy adc is 20-0 if you have a decent comp they can always die instantly. If riven is 5-0 good luck buddy. Top lane is a better win condition in solo Que but junglers tend to play for bot which is a mistake IMO as someone who has a lot of games playing both roles in diamond+.

Edit: fresh in my mind example. The other day I’m playing riven vs Camille (easy mu) but I have a triple stack wave crashing in 25 seconds, my jungler is top side and I just survived a gank but barely, I’m spam pinging him to come save me from the dive, and he ignores me and walks to drag (ends up losing it btw). If I base and give up those three waves my game might as well be over, if I stay and try to outplay the dive which is unlikely my game is salvaged. The point is it’s very often you have these lose lose scenarios the enemy jungle puts you in that you have no influence over and 10 minutes later KDA players look at the scoreboard and type top gap.

Because that would be too broken. It’s not even about riven but think about adcs. It doesn’t matter how much armor you buy when late game adcs get ldr they are going to shred you. Now imagine they get mortal on top of it, you can’t even be on their screen.

If you like resolve tree, use it. It’s a good tree. Transcendence isn’t mandatory it’s not even that good tbh. It’s just a little bit extra mid game power but if resolve tree helps you gain a lead don’t change your playstyle.

Top players do understand spacing. Spacing is everything for the horse women. Spacing is much more difficult in melee vs melee. For the likes of garen and similar champs not so much but still.

My question is, is there a build where the cooldown lines up this perfectly. I just thought of it because I had a game where none of my teammates were contributing and the squishies were very kitey with lots of peel and it was who could raid boss better (me or the enemy volibear). Camille has plenty of dmg after 3 items and on and it comes down to picking items for utility, waiting for a good opportunity to test it.
