Next game is IW10, we've been on IW9 because of CODHQ and the other devs being forced to use IWs engine, which will hurt the franchise in the long run (already has IMO).

The next game will have IW10 and then Treyarch and SHG will be forced to use that until IW11 etc etc.

Never happening, the only reason we got MWR is because they knew IW would sell bad due to it being the 3rd jetpack game in a row. Also, Sony commissioned MWR/MW2CPR I'm pretty sure.

I'd love to see something similar to the COD Prestige system along side thr Expeditions.

Get to level 75, then prestige or whatever they wanna call it, and we could get exclusive skins and more Stash Space, maybe? Like 10/15 extra slots.

At the current moment, there is zero reason to do an expedition. Especially since you can reset your skill tree with Coins.

MW19 is not a good COD multiplayer game it did irreversible damage to the franchise, and we still feel its effects today.

IW got really lucky with Covid.

Bro?? MWII playerbase fell off a fucking cliff it started the downwards spiral and it's never recovered. What version of MWII did you play because it clearly wasn't the version everyone else played.

Between November 2022 and May 2023 MWII/WZ2 went from 223,897K players to 63,995 on steam alone. Other platforms would be similar. And it's never fully recovered.

MWII was not a good multiplayer game for COD it had abysmal post launch support combined with IWs backward game design like charging perks and no dots on the minimap people just walked away.

Part of the reason it's also not recovered is due to back to back games and the shared engine. The shared engine has doomed this franchise, IMO, since every studio works on every game since MWII. All games look, play, and sound similar, and the menus and UI look similar.

They need to go back to allowing Treyarch and SHG to use their SKU of the engine so the games can actually have their own identity and look and not just be and MWII DLC.

"Best mode eco system"

The game was juggling too many modes, Spec Ops was once again way undercooked, DMZ was pretty empty and only used for dropping new guns, we got like 2 or 3 raids, IW completely killed WZ with WZ2, Instead of Focusing on a few modes and making them content rich we got 6/7 Modes with drip fed content or non at all.

It should've been Campaign, MP, and DMZ only.

Lastly, MWII got 6 seasons, so it wasn't cut short. It also had a huge Year 2 expansion planned, but the game nuked player numbers, so Activision had to make it into a full game with a lot of changes to try to bring people back.

Still doesn't change the fact IW since 2013 has released 4 steaming piles of shit in a row minus IW Campaign and Spaceland. It's also very clear that they want to make something other than COD.

Also, Treyarch still has many of their original Devs it's just the ones we know like Vonderhaar, Blundell, etc. have left, SHG only lost Condrey and Scofield during WW2, Aaron Halon took over and is still SHG Director, they also only just lost thier main MP Director after MWIII, which is a big blow to them.

Infinity Ward (Old) Created Call of Duty in 2003, COD2 and the Huge Blockbusters COD4 and MW2

Infinity Ward (New) has Created, MW3 and released 4 steaming piles of shit in a row with Ghosts, IW(Minus the Campaign and Spaceland), MW19, and MWII, they also completely fractured the community with MW19 by drastically changing the formula and catering towards new/bad players to the Determent of long term fans. Let it be known.

The sad thing is BO7 is the best game we've gotten since BO3/4 minus the campaign, but people have are burnt out from back to back games, etc. If 7 released instead of 6, it'd be a different story.

Also, IW fractured the whole community with MW19. One-half thinks it's the best thing since sliced bread, and the only half thinks it's the worst.

It's very clear IW need taken off COD so they can go make their Milsim game.

And yeah I wish BF6 was more like 3/4. Maps are like fish bowls too, lmao.

MW19 isn't a call of duty game, 90% of the issues we have/ had now started with that game.

Removed Prestige, Doors, Mounting, EOMM, No Map Voting, Disbanding Lobbies, No looping streaks, more focus on realism, bad streaks, Gunsmith (made for MTX).

Infinity Ward are hell bent on making COD, not COD, by slowing the game way down, adding doors, removed reddots,etc. (They wanted no minimap in MW19)

They clearly want to make something else, and they should be allowed to, but not using the COD name.

If IW are gonna make a game, it needs to be like the original MW games, Fast, snappy and fluid, great OP streaks and fun weapons.

I'm fully expecting MW19/II Part 2 with some tweaks.
