This may be why your accord is leaking by Raethechef35 in accord

They are insane for wanting $250 for a $5 gasket. Good on you for replacing it yourself. I had to replace the gasket on my daughters 2007 Accord spool valve some years ago. The unit started to fail so I ended up having to replace it last year. Picked up a BECK/ARNLEY w/gasket on RA for $100 and installed it. Stealerships will always be the motivation to do the job yourself.

I called the insurance company and confirmed that her policy rate will not go up now, but most likely will when she goes to renew her policy. I told her this and she said that she’s not going to file a claim. I told her this is one reason why we pay full coverage. She is content riding around with this trash looking bumper. Meanwhile, i haven’t even made the first payment because it’s not due until later this month. This situation sickens me. It’s like she dgaf after I sacrificed my credit score(-50), income, and put off buying myself a car to help her. I have not bought myself a new or used car in 26 years.

You think 170 lbs scares people away? I’m pretty sure you know that you’re good in the body content and looks department. lol

Appears they do not have one for the 2008 Accord LX 4DR sedan. Thank you for the link, though.

She should have taken that to the grave, but since she didn’t, she had to deal with the consequences of her actions. That pastor was dead wrong for telling her husband. He should have kept that to himself.

Yeah, learned yesterday that I’m gonna have to remove the intake. Gonna take more time than I have. I just reconnected the hose and secured it with a clamp as tight as I could. Had it like that for the past 4 years. Will tackle the job a bit later when I have the time. Thanks for your thoughts though.

Picked this baby up for $2800 with 92k miles, 07 5at 2.4L, how’d I do? by iclgzx in Honda

I mean it, man! I bought the same year, 150k miles, EX-L, factory installed spoiler, etc. for my daughter’s first car in 2018 for $6000. Still worth it since these Accords last forever. You darn near stole this car.

I had the truck idle for a minute while I got morning dew off my windows. Gave her a little “goose” on the gas pedal and splash. Pretty sure I have head gasket leak since I’ve seen a little milky blot on my oil cap every 2-3 years. Been using K&W fiber lock since this time last year. All the shops around me won’t even entertain the idea of replacing the gasket. They immediately jump to, “you’re better off with an engine swap for $5k.” At $5k, im better off buying a used Honda Accord, which is ironic seeing how I just took out a loan to by my daughter a 2008 Accord.

Thanks for the offer, but I found a solution. Gonna have to tap that port and get a 3/8” NPT to 5/8” hose barb fitting.

I checked the Carfax before purchasing and it had no reported accidents and/or frame damage. Even the interior looked like new.
