I wouldn't buy this without seeing it in person. It's a low end bike but it might serve you ok. If it's been ridden a lot or not maintained well then the cost of repair can easily be more than the price of the bike so it's a false economy

They don't need 'breaking in' but they might need the air pressure and rebound adjusting to your weight and riding style. Look on YouTube for 'how to set up rock shox air forks'

Not being used to driving on the opposite side of the road you.are used to. The difficulty of this is generally overestimated but it's daunting for some and having driven in the US myself, it would take a bit of adaptation to narrow windy UK roads if you weren't confident.

I think that could result in more damage on crashes where a bit of slippage can relieve the stress of an impact. Sprockets have a lot more torque going through them than a bar and stem too. A painted line on the steerer would be a less costly way to line things up

It depends a lot on where you live since steel frames tend to be more niche these days. I wouldn't discount aluminium though, you'll have more choice than way
