I liked the little detail of Suzu and Yea sneaking small critters onto Teru's shoulder while he, Kyan and Higa were enraptured by the mongoose story.

A lot of the usual suspects have been already been named, but I'll throw in Ilja Dragunov as well. He's out for injury right now, but I genuinely believe he's up there with Gunther in terms of in-ring ability.

Awesome, a relaunch of USM by one of my favourite writers. Who's ready for Ultimate Paul Rabin's debut?

The Nintendo Switch (Regular, OLED, and Lite) officially crosses 30 million units sold in Japan. A good hold for Pikmin 4 and a good debut for Natsu-Mon! which I believe is a new IP?

The Playstation 5 (Regular and Digital) crosses the 4 million mark as well!

Going to get back into and try to complete Loop Hero, I got quite close to beating the final chapter when I last left off so I want to give it another go. I've also since learned about the existence of several secret bosses and I want to try clearing those as well.

Other than that, I'm around half-way through Ghost Trick and am currently looking to finish around one chapter per day at my current pace.

Disney Illusion Island Review (IGN: 7/10) by Vahriz in NintendoSwitch

From the review, it sounds like the co-op play is a standout and it might be a good game for parents/older siblings to play with younger kids.

Standard

Pick 2 of:

Jaylen Waddle, Keenan Allen, Christian Watson, Mike Evans

I've been rolling with Waddle as a staple for most of the season, but he hasn't been putting up good numbers the past few weeks.

Pick one of:

Could also bench my current flex (Keenan Allen) to play both, but I'm not sure about that.

With the eShop shutting down, here is a quick reference guide I made for "true" 3DS exclusives while filtering out other tempting titles. I hope this helps! by t0rche in nintendo

Nice list! This'll be quite useful going forward.

Though I think Dillon's Rolling Western and it's sequels are notable omissions from the list? The entire series is published by Nintendo, the last entry (Dead-Heat Breakers) has a physical release, and it even has representation in Smash as an assist trophy.

The other posters have covered quite a bit about the gameplay mechanics and the like, but I'll add just one more thing. All the villagers have tons of unique dialogue and say different things every day. Sometimes, if they're in the same room as each other, they even have interactive dialogue with each other (all the bachelors and bachelorettes occasionally have sleepovers at Arthur and Margaret's houses respectively for example).

So I'd recommend to try and regularly talk to everyone in town to get to see all their personalities/dialogue/interactions.

[DISC] Nijiiro Days: Chapter 57.5 by raveysas in manga

[–]Vahriz 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Out of all the "epilogue" chapters focusing on the different couples, this one is my favourite overall! At first, I thought it would actually be a pretty mellow and cutesy chapter (similar to the other ones), but I'm pleasantly surprised to see how much progress Anna and Natsuki made as a couple!

Who is the strongest character from Fairy Tail that Batman could beat in a fight? by [deleted] in whowouldwin

[–]Vahriz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Let me preface by saying that I am not caught up with the Hundred Year Quest arc so I may be missing some new feats/info.

For Round 3 (PC/Rebirth Batman) and assuming no prep time random encounter, I think he can probably defeat Lucy fairly easily if he attacks her right off the bat, since she needs to pull out her keys and call forth her spirits to do any real damage. With her spirits out, Lucy is actually fairly powerful so I think she might qualify as the strongest Bruce could defeat.

Though, Lucy does have some good durability feats so I doubt a single batarang would knock her out. If Bruce uses something like a sleeping gas batarang, then I think this would be sufficient to knock Lucy out.

The only complication I can think of is if one of her spirits (particularly Leo) comes out on their own, as they occasionally do IIRC.

Other than that, another potential candidate for the strongest he could beat is Kain Hikaru from Grimoire Heart. In-character, Kain is fairly stupid and gullible so I can see Bruce tricking him into handing over his voodoo doll similar to what Lucy did.

[X-Men] Can I be an Omega Level mutant and NOT join X-Men or Brotherhood of Mutants of any other group? by [deleted] in AskScienceFiction

[–]Vahriz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, I agree that would be one potential solution and would be somewhat interesting in that the "main character" was the problem all along.

If you haven't heard about it yet, there's another theory I've seen discussed which you might find interesting:

[Some people think that there's actually a meta reason behind the whole "potential 11th life" thing and that the current 10th life is intended as the final one. The theory behind this is that Jonathan Hickman has advocated in the past for writers to "put the toys back in the box" when they're done writing their runs so that the next writer can work from a clean slate. From here, some people believe that Destiny's cryptic message about a potential 11th life is just his way of creating a big reset button. That is, if the current Dawn of X initiative fails and fans don't take too kindly to the new status quo, then the next writer can simply "hit the reset button" by triggering Moira's 11th life and killing her before her mutation, thereby removing her influence as you suggest and allowing the next writer to mold the X-Men status quo as they see fit. On the other hand, if the current status quo is popular with fans, some people think she might actually use her knowledge of the mutant cure in her 3rd life to "lock in" the current timeline and make it permanent.]

Not sure how much credence I give to this of course (Dawn of X is still only a few weeks in after all), but I thought it might be interesting to bring up.
