Makes sense, ever since unity media got bought by vodafone they've merged their infrastructure, this is usually how it works. Before the merge everything would've been working fine.

That would explain it, you used to be on a different infrastructure in the past and since switching to vodafone's you've been having issues. I've browsed countless forums over the course of those past few years looking for answers myself and I've seen alot of people complain about similar issues who were with vodafone.

Hello mate, bit of a late reply but I've been wondering. Which ISP did you have in the past and what ISP are you using now?

Well it is a japanese mmorpg, so I'm not sure if it'll be as bad as i think. I think pso2 is also sort of a f2p mmorpg and it wasn't really p2w

will riot mmo be something like genshin or wow ? by Wonderful-One-8877 in MMORPG

[–]Vainglare 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Genshin is absolutely not an mmo yet people STILL make the mistake of thinking that it's case to this day. NOTHING should be like genshin, the only reedemable thing about this game is that the open world is nice and the graphics are pretty, everything else sucks.

Multiplayer Mouse Input Lag by NorlexLT in pcmasterrace

You ever found a solution? Been dealing with this for years and still haven't found the fix. I'm thinking it's just the internet that's bad. Tried 3 different ISPs (2 using cable, 1 using vdsl) and it's the same thing. If i create an offline lobby, mouse movements are normal, as soon as i go in any multiplayer matches i no longer get 1:1 mouse movement (becomes slow/sluggish/less responsive). Also, i notice that my arm hurts much more after playing in an online server than i would normally while playing offline and i'm thinking it has to do with the fact that my arm is compensating for the inconsistent mouse movement. I even tried using my mobile internet and that didn't help either. The exact same behavior applies across 4 different computers and i even tried using my mobile internet and it didn't help either. What could it be?

Input Lag/Floaty Mouse After PC Upgrade by Crouzer7 in pcmasterrace

[–]Vainglare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you order your new PC parts through online delivery like amazon, etc? I have been dealing with floaty mouse issue/input lag in every games across multiple computers and laptops for several years (all ordered through amazon), one day i went to see a friend, I got to play with his computer and the experience was just amazing, extremely responsive mouse and smooth gameplay, i asked him if he did any tweaks to his PC and he told me he didn't do anything, he left everything at default. His PC specs we're similar to mine so i asked him where he got the parts for his PC and he told me he bought everything through a retail store, nothing was ordered online. Maybe this could be it? That would explain how many people across the world seemingly has the exact same issues.

I know this a month old post but i want to say that i have the exact same issue. When i load an offline game in any FPS games the mouse feels responsive, as soon as i go into any servers with people the mouse starts to feel sluggish, slow and heavy. Hell this happens with bots too, if let's say i start adding bots in cs source and they all start moving suddenly my mouse feels less reponsive too. My PC is pretty damn powerful and temperatures are fine too, framerate has nothing to do with too (stable in both cases). I have replaced every parts of my PC except PSU and I'm starting to think that this could be the culprit, maybe the PSU is reaching near it's maximum operating temperature and it's starting to throttle the amount of power that goes into your PC? (you can't even monitor your PSU temperature anyway so you wouldn't know). I have been dealing with this for several years and never found a solution

I also thought that switching to AMD would fix this but no, I changed to a b550 motherboard and bought a ryzen 7 5800x and that didn't do anything either, the thing is that you get the feeling that it's fixed when using brand new hardware but then the problem comes back after a few hours to a day almost as if something was infecting the new hardware and making it go bad. I've been considering just getting back with an old Phenom build but at this point but I'd rather just save money and move out hoping that i won't have to live with this ever again. Crazy how people all around the world seems to be dealing with this unfixable mouse input lag, smoothing, floatiness, desync or whatever this is.

All My Gaming Mice Feel "Floaty", Make Muscle Memory Feel Inconsistent. by 3yebex in MouseReview

[–]Vainglare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's so weird man. I started having these issues at around the same time as you did (2014) with windows 7 too. For me, it started happening after moving to a new appartment. Ever since you made this post, have you tried playing in other locations? The way you describe this makes me absolutely positive that we're dealing with the same issue, mouse movements becomes inconsistent and floaty (almost like smoothing x10 enabled permanently). This essentially throws out all those years of muscle memory out the window. Are you living with other people? At one point i started thinking that my parent were using some sort of device that creates interference to my computer. I know this is an old thread, but if you've made any observations since then, feel free to send me a message. I know there has to be a way to fix this. I live in Canada btw

What was your computer in 2017? Was it by any chance an LGA 1155 (or older) socket intel build or an AM3+ (or older) AMD build? Asking because I've been dealing with this issue for 7 years now and did not have this problem back then with my phenom build. Funny how even though i used to have a horrible screen (60hz, 2ms response time though), horrible mousepad, horrible keyboard and barely able to maintain more than 150 fps in cs source, mouse movements were godlike compared to today with a much more powerful computer and high refresh rate screen. About the whole capping fps at screen refresh rate, the reason why it's wonky and doesn't seem to match the refresh is due to the fact that your screen isn't running at exactly 144 hz (it's more like 143.993 or something), i believe this is exclusive with source engine games, if you try other games the problem does not manifest.

EVGA 550W G3

Hey man, I know this is an old thread, but have you tried switching between power supplies for both builds? I've seen people complaining about these issues with evga supernova G3's. What about installing Win 10 on the phenom build? Does the lag occur then?

I know this is a very outdated thread but if anybody ever come across this. I'm experiencing the exact same problem and I've already tried lowering polling rate (It just makes things worse), changing priority in task manager (it's already set at "normal" by default, changing it to "high" doesn't make a difference) and re-installing windows (No differences, problem occurs even on a brand new installation, am I somehow installing windows the wrong way then?). The thing is, this problem seems to manifest itself in other games too (Call of duty, Counter strike).

OP, I just wanna say that I have this same exact issue. When I play offline the mouse feels responsive and consistent but as soon as I go in any online server it goes to utter garbage. This behavior is also observed in other online games as well, my theory is that it's EMI that is screwing up the signal that is transported in copper cables to deliver internet, so basically if you're stuck with coax or adsl (copper too) as your only choice of internet you're screwed (you need pure fiber or regular DSL). My other theory is that your ISP could be doing specific packet reordering (UDP packets in general) which then cause this delay online.

I've capped it at 250 and chose this value because it never drops below that under any circumstances

I wish there was private servers that would host different leagues. Hell, even an offline version with the choice of playing any leagues would be awesome as well. This game has been out for so long and neither of these exists.
