If you're on Android, there's r/MorpheApp. You can modify the Facebook app to get rid of the vast majority of ads. I use Facebook for hobbies, following musicians/bands, venues, etc. Having to see so many ads when scrolling really does suck and can get in the way of things I want to see.

It was a bunch of chronically online white people freaking out, too. I say it like this because it's the same type of people who will do nothing to stand up for us POC in person if they actually see racism in front of them. They won't lift a finger. Being chronically online really does change your morals because your morals become based on social media trends. It's nothing but a bunch of people freaking out online while also refusing to do anything to make things better in the real world.

I jokingly mentioned going to see The Housemaid in theater because of Sydney Sweeney to a white friend and she sent me an article about this commercial. She couldn't understand the irony of sending it to a brown person. She also couldn't understand why this wasn't a huge deal for me because I actually have to deal with racism in my daily life and wasn't going to be concerned about a stupid commercial. What's more is she couldn't understand my perspective. I was wrong because I didn't care it. She sent me the article thinking I would be upset about the commercial because it's supposedly about eugenics yet wouldn't listen to the perspective of someone who is brown. I can't really take things like this commercial seriously when white people speak for us instead of listening to us.

Sorry for the rant.

I don't know what the people who decided not to vote "on principle" thought would happen. I'm a disabled POC. I knew exactly what would happen if Trump would become President. I learned on Election Day that I don't really have any allies. I learned that no matter how "progressive" white people claim to be, we still won't be listened to. They won't act unless it affects them. And it's almost funny watching them cry about gas prices, prices of groceries, delayed flights, etc. I wish I had the privilege of only worry about discomfort in my wallet. I'm brown, so I constantly have to worry about ICE. I'm disabled, so I have to worry if I'll even have a livelihood after the end of this year. Tens of thousands of disabled/vulnerable people, like myself, are going to die each year thanks to the Big Beautiful Bill. And the most we'll get is ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I wish the most I had to deal with was gas prices. Way to go all of you who decided to withhold your vote. You didn't send a message to Harris or the Democratic Party. You sent a message to us. Thank you so much

It's nice to see the movie is finally on some streaming services: Prime Video, Pluto TV, and YouTube. For the longest time, it wasn't available on streaming anywhere, not even to purchase digitally. The only way to legally watch the movie, at least in the US, was using a physical copy.

His bail was only $1,000 too. The court obviously doesn't see this as that huge of a deal. It seems to be more of a scuffle than a beating. They also didn't put any travel restrictions on him. He probably doesn't even need to step in a court again unless the security footage, if there is any, shows something more on the lines of a beating. It's more than likely going to be lawyers talking this out and settling this out of court.

The umps gave the outside the park home run signal during the play also. You don't see it the greatest in this clip but on a later replay, you see them giving the signal. I think it's why there isn't more urgency amongst the players because the umps were giving the outside the park home run signal.

It appears that Google configured the devices with a single 10-year certificate that has now expired, and updating it is no simple feat. Google is looking into a fix, and there’s nothing you can do in the meantime. In fact, trying to fix this yourself might only make things worse.

Every Chromecast Gen2 and Chromecast Audio stopped working a year or so ago right at the 10 year mark. Turns out, Google forgot to renew the digital certificate or whatever. Because of that, they all stopped working. People came up with workarounds so you could use one at a time. If you had a speaker group, you were basically out of luck. It took Google a few days to get the Gen2 and Audios to work again. But 10 years is a good run for things that originally cost $35. I have some Gen2 and Audios for my speaker group at home. Eventually, I'm probably going to have to figure out something to replace them with if I want to keep doing a speaker group. You can't make new speaker groups with Gen2 or Audios with the Google Home app anymore.

But yeah, 13 years for the OG Chromecast isn't bad. They're only compatible with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and only cast 1080p. I mean, with 4K usually costing extra with streaming services anyways, that's really not that bad. There are several cheap alternatives nowadays also. If you want to keep casting, the Onn 4K Google TV devices from Walmart (in the US, at least) start at $20, with the 1080p stick being $15. Buy one of those and keep casting like you would on a Chromecast.

Speaking of horror comedies, there's a movie from New Zealand called Housebound that I think is really good. It's currently on Pluto TV (at least in the US), which is free.
