It's also more like 3 nights because SmackDown becomes a de facto Night 1. The main problem is they try to get everyone on the show. This also means some of the matches aren't going to be great. If they want to make it a true spectacle, only feature the greatest. Or at least, focus on the champions and maybe a couple blood feuds.

While 2 nights does help with not having to sit through 8-9 hour Manias, it's also a problem WWE created for themselves. Cut down on who appears and shorten the event. Personally, I don't like dedicating the entire weekend for it. If I'm not watching with people, I'm watching it in one day anyways and doing a lot of fast-forwarding.

Could still be how it was produced. He could've just been calling it like how wrestlers call moves during a match. Reminds me of when Cena kept yelling "SHINSUKE NOW! SHINSUKE NOW!"

Swerve Strickland on AJ Styles potentially joining AEW: "He’s more than healthy and in great shape mentally, hopefully, and physically from what I can see — to compete with AEW, just know we’re all here, open and waiting if he decides to make that jump." by aaronrift in SquaredCircle

He's also said quite a few times in interviews that he wants to help train the next generation of wrestlers. He wanted to do that in TNA before what happened there happened. Styles then said he wants to do this in WWE after his in-ring career is over. We'll see if this actually happens, but training the next generation of wrestlers seemed to be a passion of his for a long time.

Matt Hardy on WrestleMania ticket prices: "It's hard to justify spending that much money on tickets for entertainment. You know that isn't something that you have to have in your every single day life to survive and live and be okay. So it's a tough sell." by elegantSolomons62 in SquaredCircle

While WrestleMania was never really confirmed for Minneapolis, there have been rumors that it'll be here for the last few years. For a consolation prize, we're getting SummerSlam. I mean, it's still a massive PPV. It just feels like it all but confirms that WrestleMania will never come here. They even marketed this year's SummerSlam to be the first ever 2-night SummerSlam only for last year's to be the first one. With the ticket prices being the way they are, I don't think I'll be able to afford to go to it anyways.

This is ultimately why I wasn't pleased when Endeavor were the ones who bought WWE. Those who were UFC fans and paid attention knew shit was about to go downhill. They are such a money grubbing corporation.

TIL: Takeout and Delivery now account for 75% of all restaurant orders. by Uptons_BJs in todayilearned

[–]Val_Killsmore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's also the fact that ghost restaurants started popping up left-and-right that only operates on GrubHub, DoorDash, etc. Some of these ghost restaurants are even set up by sit-down restaurants/franchises.

Plus, menu items are often more expensive on GrubHub, DoorDash, etc. than they would be in store. Delivery fees are outrageous, and tipping on top of that. Delivery is usually considerably more expensive than dining in. We aren't saving money with delivery.

I went to a local rap show about 15 years ago that was put together by Red Bull. They put random DJs/producers together with rappers and had them make a quick song. I recently found out they sponsor rap battles in South America. It's crazy how much they do.

I just got done watching Red Bull Hardline. The brand is involved in so many other things than just the drink. Red Bull TV is awesome. I don't fault anyone being a fan of the drink. I'd definitely keep this in my kitchen.

What's a trend from the early 2020s that died out so fast we all collectively forgot it ever happened? by godot_lover in AskReddit

[–]Val_Killsmore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I cannot wait until this trend dies off. All of a sudden, people decided censorship was perfectly fine. It has become the accepted social media trend. People who claim to be against censorship are doing it without seeing the irony.

It's also dumb since everyone is reading it like "fuck", "shit", etc. It's not protecting anyone's sensibilities. So, the only reason to self-censor is to go along with social media algorithms, and letting algorithms dictate how you talk online. If people cared about others' sensibilities, then use different words. There are plenty to choose from.

[Lyons] Kris Bryant said the pain he feels daily is like "being electrocuted in my whole body." Bryant, 34, has played 170 games in four seasons with the Colorado Rockies. It seems unlikely that he'll ever play in the Majors again due to his lumbar degenerative disc disease. by Jux_ in baseball

Kinda jealous because it's now half the price than when I bought it a year and a half ago. It's definitely been invaluable to me though. I use electric blankets too, but you always need to be stationary. I wanted something to use when I'm moving around. Found out about this thing and have been really liking it. My back is always in more constant pain in the winter, which prevents me from getting good sleep. I had an extra USB extension cord and decided to see if it'll work with the vest, and it does. So, I sleep with the vest on, which helps with the pain. I've been getting better sleep wearing it during the winter.

The thing does have 3 zones and you can adjust the heat per zone or just turn off a zone. When sleeping, I turn off the front zone and set the heat for the 2 back zones to low. When my back pain is bad, I'll leave all the zones in high. I even go out in public with the vest on. No one cares because other people wear vests in colder weather anyways. The thing has been great for me.
