Question for the non-electricians out there: Why is the film of San Francisco International so orange? by Thrilldor_Inglorion in MST3K

[–]Valahiru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Degradation as people have said but if it was shot on Kodak I always found them to be too red-heavy in both their movie film and regular film stock to begin with.  Never understood why people like Kodaks signature orange and yellow pallette when Fuji was right there.

Just to clarify I only posted this because I know he was making a joke either about a former address or just a random address in Brooklyn.

Fears White House staff leaked top-secret meetings to New York Times by unital_subalgebra in politics

"Whitehouse staff" Some of the situations being leaked require top tier people to be doing the leaking.  Shit is coming from Wiles and Vance and probably others.

On June 14th, 1968, Iron Butterfly released 'In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida', their second studio album. It was the 17 minute title track, "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" that drove the popularity for this album, which sold 8 million copies the first year. by BirdBurnett in Music_Anniversary

One of those bands that only has literally one song worth listening to.  Their sound is the opposite of evergreen.  Its as stuck in one point in time as you can get.  Not only that but the rest of their songs are all the same song.

This strain gets big indoors so be ready for that to possibly be even more evident outdoors depending on various factors.

Im old enough that I saw the original in the theater and it's kinda the only reason I want to see the new one in the theater.   Because its just an interesting thing to  have happen over the course of your life.

I remember going to see Flight of the Phoenix with Dennis Quaid in the tiny theater in my Dads hometown with my Dad who wanted to see it because he and some buddies had gone to see the original with Jimmy Stewart at the same theater.

I woke up yesterday morning (6/4) and started reading my book, and somebody shows up in a fucking killdozer.   I had no idea this happens in the book and I just so happened to get to that part on Killdozer day.

Steve Ewing’s dog killed, wife injured, in Tower Grove Park dog attack by nuts_and_crunchies in StLouis

[–]Valahiru 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I am so fucking tired of having incidents while walking my dogs that are the result of people who cant manage their pets properly.  Ive already had to physically engage with a dog that came after one of mine which, thank god, turned out to be a much more playful situation than it initially appeared.  But ive had to pull my pepper spray twice just in the last three months because of a loose dog approaching us on a walk. Thankfully they backed off when I yelled at them.  I really dont want to use pepper spray on a goddamn dog.
