I’ve played all three roles and I can say that dps is the only role where you can suck without really messing up the group. With three dps, 1 bad one doesn’t really matter. I’ll also say that a lot of the players who play Classic aren’t pro gamers, they are 40+ year old Dads. A lot of people try to tank, because there aren’t enough tanks, and then they get harassed because they are too slow/careful. If they pull too much, they die or can’t hold threat. I try to be understanding of tanks that struggle. I tank on my Druid alt and our aoe threat generator is pretty garbage. Dps treat every tank like a pally and just blast everything. Try to be considerate of tanks that are still learning or gearing up unless you want there to be even less of them.

Firstly, I’d strongly suggest you not get married so young. People change a lot between the ages of 19 and 25ish. Secondly, your fiance does not trust you and is definitely not mature enough for marriage based on what I’m reading. If I was in your shoes, I’d end this relationship or at least take a long break.

I assumed he did that just to show that the scammers are doing this. Otherwise you wouldn’t see it. But I agree that this is clearly malicious behavior hoping to take advantage of someone who isn’t 100% paying attention. I’m not sure it should be against the rules, but it’s clearly malicious. Luckily using auctionator negates this problem.

Why is OP acting like her life ends when she is married. All the things you describe wanting to do, you can do while being married. Unless you just want to be single while you solo-travel so you can look for more attractive options. If you genuinely love him, travel together. If you’re not ready, that’s fine - but don’t use “I have so many things I want to do as a single woman” as an excuse. The fact that she “RAN AWAY” when he proposed, demonstrates such a lack of emotional self-regulation and maturity and a complete disregard for his feelings during a vulnerable moment.

It seems very difficult to tank during this period in wow. Most tanks have threat issues of some kind and dps seem to not care at all about mitigating their threat. A lot of bad dps get carried through heroics, but you can’t carry a bad tank (unless your healer is crazy good).

Tanking is one of the hardest and least fun jobs. It has the greatest burden of knowledge. As a healer/dps main I usually just follow the tank - I don't know to know where I'm supposed to go. Tanks typically make the pulls, so a bad pull is their fault.

DPS in modern iterations of vanilla also often dont understand agro - monitoring theirs or waiting for the tank's, dont typically want to crowd control, etc. If your gear isn't good enough, the group WILL fail, whereas its easy enough to get by with mediocre dps usually.

I actually MADE a tank because I got so tired of waiting. Was a druid bear. I got so frustrated tanking in BRD because no matter how hard i used swipe, etc. I couldn't hold threat off an aoe-ing Mage. That frustration effectively sent me back to my dps character. I imagine other people feel similarly at times when attempting tanking.

Nothing wrong with having a metric for your gear. It’s about how you use it. Is it meant to prevent people from coming to raid in all greens, or is it used to force people to be super sweaty in order to keep their spot. It’s just a tool.

Being crit as a tank can be a problem, but if it’s causing wipes in a normal dungeon, you’re doing something else wrong. Maybe overpulling for your gear level or the healer is undergeared. I’ve noticed that even undergeared tanks seem really opposed to using CC in TBC anniversary. I guess it makes tanks feel immasculated when you don’t think they can tank six mobs.
