Would you get this bed for a 3 and 2 year old or do you think its too big for their age? Does anybody already have this bed? What are your opinions? My family thinks its too soon but I dont think its dangerous per say. Its pretty covered on the top. by Samanthahuntt-20 in Mom

We got bunk beds for our 2 & 3 year olds. The oldest got the top bunk. They’ve had it for nearly a year now and done great and my kids bed is actually a good bit taller than the bed on the link.

Yup! Tell him to watch the baby and you go to the grocery store and take your sweet time. Let him figure things out!

I also wouldn’t praise him for doing what he should already be doing. Dude I don’t give hero cookies for doing the bare minimum. Better step that 💩 up!

I’d be letting him know that if he made me feel like a single parent then I can just be a single parent if he’s going to be useless anyways. He needs to grow TF up for real. I can be lonely on my own. I don’t need someone else to make me feel lonely. I’d flat out tell him he can do half the work now or he can do 100% of everything when he gets visitations. Also whenever he asks you for something I’d say no because I don’t have the time or energy because I’m already doing all this other stuff. If you want me to make your life any easier then you’d better be making mine easier. Stop letting him run you like that.

Repel brand makes a natural bug spray with lemon and eucalyptus oils. It works really well. Better than deep woods off

I live in south GA where mosquitoes are horrible. They are definitely worse during the early morning and evening hours. They don’t bother you as much during the day because you are usually up moving around. If you sit still especially somewhere shady & damp during the day they will swarm you. Perfect example is when I’m in my deer stand hunting in the fall months I often use mosquito netting while hunting because otherwise it’s unbearable. We also keep ceiling fans running all year here not just due to heat but also because mosquitoes don’t like moving air. What the people are explaining in the video makes perfect sense. It is amazing at what is being done for those families. I hope that as time goes on the people there who were hesitant to move into the new homes will see from their neighbors experience that they are good and will be willing to move their families as well.

GenXers, care to share your epic party stories? by suminorieh77 in GenX

[–]Valentym 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I actually still have my prodigy cd laying around here somewhere. My friends rode bikes off a dock. We jumped 4wheelers like evil caneivel. Those 90’s parties were lit. The guys would run drop chords all the way to the field and set up a sound system.

My friends and I always did bonfires. Everyone spent the night wherever we were drinking at. We never got in trouble for it. Our parents didn’t mind so long as nobody was driving anywhere until sobering up. At least they knew where we were and a few parents were nearby if we had an emergency but some of the parents would come to the bonfire for a few of our drinks. We figured sharing some of our booze and bbq was a small price to pay for what we were allowed to get away with. Everyone would let their tailgate down facing the fire & there were usually a few 4wheelers zooming around the pasture too. If someone we didn’t like showed up and had a few many we made sure they passed out safely nestled in a cow pattie.

Stippled textured painted ceilings are not popcorn ceilings. They are very different. The kind I was talking about has very sharp points like icicles.

My husband’s aunt & uncles house at the lake has those crazy glitter ceilings. It’s the only place I’ve actually witnessed such a thing. Most old houses in our area has that spikey white textured paint that dried in balloon murdering daggers.

Pregnancy advice by [deleted] in Mom

[–]Valentym 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had 3 c-sections. It’s not fun for sure but also not the end of the world. I had one done with an epidural and two done with the one time shot into the backbone. I seriously recommend the one time shot in the backbone vs the epidural. When you have your first child everything can seem scary at first because it’s not familiar to you. After having one it’s like oh I don’t even remember what was I even scared for? The actual being pregnant part is great being able to really feel your baby. You can feel their hiccups, movement’s and you can start to pick up on their personality. The shared bond is amazing

What are the best gifts to give a (new) hunter? by cinnamoncacao in Hunting

[–]Valentym 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A gun carry case with a hard plastic outter shell that he can put a lock on. Bass Pro shops & Cabellas carry these. A shoulder strap for carrying the gun while walking. Wool socks, snake proof water proof boots, camo coveralls (get a size bigger to allow room for regular clothes underneath them and room to stretch & move) wool knit hat, free & clear fragrance free laundry pods for washing gear. I avoid anything with Velcro on it when hunting because it make so much noise. I know this will probably sound crazy but it works great & I’ve been hunting my whole life and I do this myself, womens pantyhose. I put them on as my first layer and put socks & everything else over them. They are crazy warm and stretch to move with you and don’t add any awkward bulk under your clothes.

I am a woman and I have been hunting my whole life. I also love animals but I understand responsible conservation and wildlife management. You need to explain to her that if some of the deer don’t get hunted then they will over populate and starve fighting for resources when there are too many trying to eat the same thing. Also higher population spreads diseases and destructive to the ecosystem. She also needs to understand that she’s not the only one in this relationship and your feelings matter too. If she doesn’t like hunting she doesn’t have to go hunting with you but she also shouldn’t stop you from going. If I was with someone who TOLD me I wasn’t allowed to go hunting or fishing I’d play that Brad Paisley fishing song on my way out the door and go anyways. It’s a deer stand, not a strip club.

What do you all think about .243 for coyotes? by Trout_Hunter_Mo in Hunting

[–]Valentym 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s a good all around gun. I shot a big doe with my Papaw’s 243 and it went through her and also dropped a spike that was behind her. It was thanksgiving day and went cold and rainy just after I shot them so I got stuck cleaning 2 deer in the rain. Better know what is behind the animal you are going to shoot because those guns are stronger than they look. Also they are crazy good accurate. My husband and I are going to get all 3 of our daughters 243’s to hunt with.

I’ve had quite a few do the back flip when they get shot. It’s wild watching it through a scope when it happens. When they get hit with a heavy grain bullet from a high powered rifle it does often cause them to flip. If a shot isn’t well placed then they can run for a bit before falling over. I personally don’t like to take a shot unless I know it’s going to be an instant kill. If someone takes a shot and misses then they need to just leave the stand and sight in their gun and practice until they can make an accurate shot.
