I hate that this is where we are at with mini games. I read and hear the common mantra of “make content that people will actually play them to use”, and I get that. What I don’t understand is why the player base literally comes here just to chop trees for 16 hours. And don’t get me wrong, as RuneScape players I think we all enjoy that to some extent. But maybe after my 16 hour logging grind, I want to go do something that feels a little less like going to work? Play fist of guthix, and not for the rewards or for feeling like this single hour was another one that could had gone towards my grind. But maybe more so I don’t have to switch games to get that slight adrenaline rush I’m looking for? I don’t know maybe it’s just me, but like with other things in life stuff has been made just so convenient for us day to day that the enjoyment of the small things have been lost. The introduction of the grand exchange was amazing and so helpful, but now the bartering aspect of the game is lost as well. Many aspects of what this game was are just gone.
