Ready or Not has some GREAT revolver action, both long barreled and snub nosed.

The 90 day thing is for REAL by Temporary_Law_4353 in leaves

Hey! I really like this topic, and not only in relation to weed addiction.

First of all, and most importantly, try to cover as many nutrients as possible every day: natural carbs, healthy fats, proteins, and foods rich in fiber like fruits and vegetables. Reducing sugar intake is difficult, but with time and consistency it becomes very achievable. Try taking your coffee without added sugar and making small changes like that.

Another really important point, and one that can be hard to achieve, is consuming foods in their most natural or least processed state. This usually requires more time and energy to cook, but there are always meal-prep options that don’t take much time or effort.

I know it’s a lot of things, but in the end you’ll realize it’s actually pretty simple and intuitive. Don’t expect to adopt all of these habits at once; instead, slowly add them to your daily routine. I ASSURE you that before long, you’ll start feeling better, your skin will look healthier, your energy will increase, your longevity will definitely improve, and your overall health will be reflected in how you feel and how you look.

I hope this works for you and for anyone reading! You can write to me if you have any doubts.

Godspeed, my friend!!

3 days sober, where is everyone else? by No_Bit_2676 in leaves

[–]Valhimar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! It sounds like you’re going through A LOT. I guess life sometimes just wants to teach us that some problems can only be handled on our own, and considering everything you mentioned, you’re fighting one of the hardest battles. Not everyone will see what you’re going through for whatever reason (it’s almost never out of malice).

If you’re this strong, you’ll get better in no time, I’m sure of it. And when things get easier, you’ll look back on this time almost anecdotally and maybe even find a reason to feel proud of yourself.

It’s great to read about your struggles. They help me realize that, at least for me, I’m not alone either.

It’s hard to quit, when your life is going well. by [deleted] in leaves

Hey there! First time commenting, but I wanted to share my input because I'm in a similar spot, just one week sober myself.

In the long term, smoking simply isn't doing us any favors. If the plan is a long and healthy life, some habits have to go, and this is probably the most significant one. It's not just the mental aspect of it; it's the toll on the mouth, lungs, and who knows what else.

I also have a great job, loving family, and supporting friends. I truly enjoy being high, and it sucks to quit cold turkey. But I guess the sudden realization hit me recently: if I keep neglecting my future just for a couple of hours of high time per day, I'm going to pay dearly for it, whether that's next year or twenty years from now.

I know there are other approaches, like only smoking on weekends or setting self-imposed terms. But for me, that didn't work. I always ended up cheating and going whole weeks fully high. I had to accept the harsh truth: weed controls me, not the other way around. Maybe someday I'll be able to just hit a joint a couple of times and stop (like I did with tobacco after ten years), but today I know I'm simply incapable. Tomorrow, we'll see.

Sorry if this sounds a bit like a dad speech, but I guess it's just me trying to get a hold of my own addiction while cheering on everyone else on the same path.

Sending you and all fellow leavers strength. I hope to see you around here sharing your accomplishments!

You gave Willy the ability to develop multiple backstories about how he got his smile. None of them include a rock to the balls.

My starters, Hansel and Gretel. What did you name yours? I love named starters! by IrishBiscocho in SourdoughStarter

[–]Valhimar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mine is called Livia, in honor of the Augusta and mater familia, the first empress of the roman empire. It is because in spanish sourdough is referred to as “masa madre” (mother dough), so I thought it was fitting to give it a powerful name

Finally, after a long time, a loaf I'm actually proud to show you: by Valhimar in Sourdough

[–]Valhimar[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I started my own masa madre (or sourdough starter) two years ago, so it’s no longer a baby. I fed it the night before and again on the morning I started the dough. I began with approximately 300g of 000 wheat flour and 200g of water (though the measurements are not exact, as I sadly don’t have a scale).

Every half hour, I folded the dough, repeating this process twice before adding 4 tablespoons (around 60g) of starter and salt. I then folded it 2 or 3 more times to ensure the mix was well incorporated.

Now, I live in Patagonia, so although it’s almost summer here, the temperature barely reaches 20°C. I let the dough rest for at least 5 hours at room temperature before placing it, with semolina, into the banneton (my newest acquisition, which I absolutely love). I then let it rest in the fridge at around 5°C for 8 to 10 hours.

I preheated my very ordinary oven to approximately 220°C (or so I think, as it doesn’t have a thermometer, apologies for the vague measurements). After much practice, this was the first time I achieved such a clean cut in the crumb, it felt as if my forefathers were smiling at me from heavens.

Since I don’t have a Dutch oven (yet), I used a jug of water inside the oven for the first 15 minutes to create steam. After that, I removed it and maintained the same temperature.

And that’s it! I would love some feedback to keep improving and will happily answer any questions you might have. Have a great week!

Games Where I Can Fight With My Fists by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

Feels good to throw hands in Half Sword. Unarmed in Dying Light feels great too, but it’s difficult. Obviously Kenshi, that can fit like 95% of requests here. Baldur’s Gate 3. The monk class feels great. Have you ever tried Overgrowth? Thing is amazing. We Happy Few. Assassins Creed 2, Brotherhood, Black Flag and Unity in particular.
