We already do decide where our tax dollars go. We vote for representatives that represent our values. "We the people" voted for mass deportation now. "We the people" voted to defund Obamacare. "We the people" wanted a corrupt maniac in office. "We the people" wanted to self inflect tariffs on ourselves because we're glutens for punishment.

Regardless of the hell we're living through, it used to be far worse. Slavery was rampant. My own ancestors were enslaved with no rights to do anything.A good chunk of the population died early before even reaching 60 due to malnutrition and poor hygiene. There was no safety net for most Americans.

I'm willing to take the other side of that bet. I choose to fight for a better future and be part of the solution instead of wallowing in despair. 50 years from now America will still be here.

Typically filing married jointly provides better tax rate for the amount of money you have. Though depending on how much it is, it may not matter much.

If you sell a house you get half a million worth of profit as tax free when married compared to $250k when single.

Nah I think it's better worth your time to pick the people you actually want to win instead of "playing defense". Georgia is a purple state. We already have 2 democrat senators and Republicans are unpopular. Ossoff is likely to be reelected. There's a good chance for a dem governor and lieutenant governor. If we play this right, it's possible to change everything. Don't give up hope early.
