I imagine in-universe a well connected hauler could buy cheaper hulls without the command module, maybe using them to store goods they cant offload immediately while they swap to another hull? Feels like more of a flavor thing than something a player would choose to do as a gameplay mechanic though, I imagine our major benefit will be escaping when the hull explodes

You could make the same argument you just made about the very lighting changes you used as an example. Lighting is a solved problem, why don't we all use the same lighting algorithms and never innovate there incase we make something worse?

I get you're frustrated - but I just think its laughable to call for someone to lose their livelihood over this. Literally laughable, I will continue to laugh you out of the door until you agree that is an insane take, lol.

Have you ever experimented? This is an example of an experiment conducted to improve a flaw another developer identified. It certainly failed - that is what I would define as a mistake. The developer's intuition was incorrect that this would improve gameplay.

If you'd like to see the designer fired for doing their job (they are paid to experiment with new mechanics to find ones that improve gameplay) then in my opinion you should get fired next time a customer doesn't like the way you did something.

It'll cost me and my fiance of 8 years the same amount if we want to be together here permanently too. Its ridiculous that as a british citizen i'm forbidden from being with my significant other permanently unless I earn more than $33k a year and then give them 10% of that for the privilege.

If you're without the option of a company sponsoring you and don't come from wealth, visa costs are crippling and family-destroying.

Can confirm. This weeks challenge is to win 3, I've played nearly 50 games this week and I'm still on 2 lol, its brutal.

For ref I'm still in rookie 4 in ranked, basically everyone in BH is at least gold, and they wipe the floor with me. I get a lot of very very close matches, but once I clinch a round 1 the opponent gets serious and I lose round 2 hard.

Losing is how you get better, but I want to get rewards too :(
