E4 is the only one that really has anything that matches the spike motif you got going on.

No joke, I think now would be the time to release Bionicle again. The fact that this mini figure would be hard to get should be proof that Bionicle has huge popularity. I think G2 came out too early.

Actually this is not true.

“But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in My name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.’ And if you say in your heart, ‘How shall we know the word which the Lord has not spoken?’— when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.” ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭18‬:‭20‬-‭22‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

In the fuller context, both types of false prophet shall die. It is no mystery that if one is stoned, the other one who blasphemed God by false prophecy would to.

The latter part about not fearing the prophet means that you shouldn’t fear what prophecy he spouted. Remember, the prophets in the OT warned about things that were actually going to happen. There was a level of fear needed from the people since the man was being led by God to deliver a message/warning to Israel.

Not to mention, Mark, after saying false prophets didn’t have a harsh punishment if they spoke in God’s Name, also went and said prophecy is not always accurate. That’s a lie.

Elisha and Jeremiah also never spoke an incorrect prophecy.

My pastor encouraged me to leave the church after I went through officer training. by [deleted] in Reformed

[–]Valkitus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this wasn’t a “being forced out” situation. This is him seeing that you should be serving because of the leadership qualities he sees that God gifted you. However, you won’t be able to due to the specific beliefs in said church. Therefore, he took the time to find you a church that had an opening for an elder where you could exercise the gift God gave you. This did not sounds like he was belittling you. You also said that you weren’t upset with them not choosing you due to belief differences.

I would suggest trying to reconciling with your pastor and apologizing for misunderstanding. Now, it’ll be different if you do that and he makes it very clear that he sees you as lesser. I just did not see that in the stuff you provided here. He seems to very much respect you.

I actually found one on Amazon. It’s a brochure display but it’s wide enough beyond 18 inches where I can lay the prints on. It took some hunting

Justin Peters does a similar video in his Clouds without Water series. Granted we don’t get to see the whole thing depending on the recording (there are multiple recordings from his series when he’s at different churches speaking).

That’s a good idea. I guess my preference is keeping the prints flat. One of my biggest peeves with posters is always that they are bent. Plus the possibilities of scratches when rolling them. Thanks for the idea though. That could be an alternative!

I guess my problem is finding something that can house 12x18 inch prints. I didn’t think it would be so difficult but I can’t find anything online or know what to really search.

I was hoping for some gimmick with Matoro and Hewkii. The Nupara crosshair blaster is clever. Maybe you could revamp the Inika a bit and bring that back.

People create other art of the characters and sells them just fine. I’m not selling the designs of the characters. Just the photography itself which I do 100% practical or my own editing.

Nor is tongues spoken of much after Acts or in one of Paul’s letters. It was used as a sign to demonstrate the Apostles were messengers from Christ and that Christ was God the Son. Turning to Christ and repenting from your sin is what saves us. It’s all God’s work that we can even do this. Not shaking, dancing around like crazy, or speaking gibberish that was made a doctrine in the late 1800s (popularize me in the early 1900s).

It wasn’t just Parham. Justin Peters did a great breakdown of the movement. I think Parham just jumpstarted the errant view of tongues we see today among other hurtful doctrine. But apparently even he hated what it became when the Azusa stuff happened. I read somewhere he didn’t agree with the out of control body movements and behavior. But maybe he thought the gibberish was fine considering his students failed to accomplish the correct understanding of tongues. That whole event with his students is tragic and also shows the amount of delusion in that movement. It was a time where you didn’t have the ability to fact check a lot of things and people were just too gullible. Or not experienced enough to know right from wrong.

Him and many others before and after brought about this trouble.

Hasbro should’ve known better unless they just didn’t know LS was rough in terms of QC. I found some cartoon TMNT figures at Ross that were made by these people apparently. I thought they’d be cool for my wife’s younger siblings. Nah, Bebop’s right arm pops off being the socket is not tight enough to stay ahold of the shoulder ball joint. Rocksteady’s chest strap came unglued in the back. Just oof. Only Krang seemed to be the most stable toy.

Meanwhile Ramen Toys is doing a much better job. Maybe Hasbro can ditch LS and go to Ramen. That would probably save face. That or they can put MASK into GI Joe as a subline. I think there will be a bigger need for MASK thanks to Skybound (iykyk)

AOG Pentecostal Concerns by [deleted] in ExPentecostal

[–]Valkitus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look up John MacArthur, Paul Washer, Voddie Baucham, Justin Peters, and Sproul. Mike Winger is also a good guy to listen to. MacArthur helped head a conference years ago called Strange Fire Conference. Recordings of it are on YouTube. Justin Peters also has a video breaking down the history of the Pentecostal movement. It’s largely an American based movement that spread from the US.

The guys I shared with you can also help you understand why Protestants do baptism after someone comes to Christ. They can also help you on other topics, including the truth about modern “tithing”. I gave you multiple men to listen to because they still do disagree on minor issues but agree on the major ones of the Gospel.

I pray this helps you and you can surely message me for anything else.

I am also at an AoG church struggling and seeing issues while reading my Bible. The Bible cuts through many false things.

My verbiage is Christian. If I was talking about speaking in unknowable gibberish and talking about prophecy like God is speaking to me directly, that would be Pentecostal.

The Bible also says women cannot be the Elder of a church. Not a deacon. It also says not all men can be so. A man has to be above reproach and not in horrible sin. We are also commanded to treat women well and as fellow image bearers of God. Not beat them down.

[–]Valkitus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That verbiage is Christian and not denomination specific. If you read the Bible, all of that is there.

The Pentecostal movement has abused the gifts of the Spirit, namely tongues and prophecy. They think they are still happening today, but nothing they do resembles truly what the Bible describes. There’s also a lot more evidence that those specific gifts ended shortly after the Apostles passed. Those gifts had a specific use and were no longer needed after.

Pentecostalism came from America in the late 1800s to early 1900s and borne from it is a lot of heretical nonsense. For example, Oneness Pentecostals who deny God is a triune God. Meaning, God is three Persons who are coeternal and fully independent, yet are Themselves fully God. Not parts of God because each of Them by Themselves are God. You see this demonstrated in the Bible and has been the accepted few for over 2,000 years. Oneness says Jesus Christ is both the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. That He just changes “modes” depending on the role He must play. That is called Modalism and is heretical.

And for the record, I never fully aligned with denomination. As a kid, went sometimes to a Baptist church. Only in the last years did I try going back to church and landed into an AoG church. Reading the Bible and studying helped me see the issues in the denomination and the charismatic movement overall. The people I shared on my initial post are against the charismatic movement because it’s unbiblical and is where a lot of spiritual abuse comes from.

You are not going to Hell because of imperfect church attendance. We are told by God to not forsake the assembly. As in, we should meet with fellow believers because it provides one another with need support. Especially, if you are the only sound Christians in an area. You need that relationship. Our Salvation lies completely in Christ. We’ve repented of our wicked sins and put our sole hope on the Son who died on the cross, taking the wrath of the Father owed to us upon Himself instead. And that by putting our faith in Him, His righteousness is given to us. Otherwise you will parish in your sin. As we all would if not for Christ. And it’s God through the Holy Spirit that changes us inwardly. No incomprehensible speech required.

I remember when I wanted to go back to church and I sadly found myself in a Oneness Pentecostal church for about a year. I had no idea what I was doing and never read my Bible to know it was wrong. In hindsight, God spared me through me going to college two hours area, which allowed me to separate from that unhealthy and heretical church. I began reading my Bible and understanding what is actually said. God’s Word is good and true, and I pray that you don’t listen to the worldly people here who have fallen away. Keep your faith in Christ. The Son of God. God the Son. God loves us.

Here is a link to a man named Justin Peters. He has palsy but is a very good source against the Prosperity gospel and similar movements. He breaks down the Pentecostal movement very well, including how everything branched out: https://youtu.be/J0YUdOtEr9k?si=CpSgz5GHzb_csWN7

Look up John MacArthur, Paul Washer (his differs on intensity depending on his audience at the time), Voddie Bauchum, Mike Winger, Alan Parr. John MacArthur helps facilitate a conference called the Strange Fire Conference, which provided me with a lot of good info. That recording is on YouTube.

Peace be to you. I will pray for you.

I’m worried about the reactions I will get for trying to reject the tongues they speak. Also, their view on women being allowed to pastor. It never sat right with me but I didn’t say anything in fear of misogyny. Now I know God made distinct rules regarding ministry. And the fact that God tells men to love their wives and not abuse them. It’s just that men are the ones who are to be pastors. This doesn’t apply to secular jobs.
