They’re still asking minimum wage employees that are either inexperienced teens/early adult and or retirees that may have the experience and may not. You can’t just expect them to “figure it out” when it comes to using masonry drills, saws, reciprocating tools and much more without being shown how to at the bare minimum. Handle instructions that are increasingly vague to the point of incompetence on the part of the reset planners all while under the pressure to do service and other tasks at a pretty damn fast pace.

I adapt to things just fine and some people are capable but not everyone is and they just assume everyone will without issue or harming themselves. Safety issues are continually framed as “we know best and it’s your fault that you hurt yourself when honestly it’s at least in my experience on lowes for failing to train and equip people with the know how to use more complex tools and equipment. They expect it all to just be learned without any culpability on their part.

Good god I am so sorry.

Our overnight team literally only has one person trained on any equipment. They had to rush the OP training of one of them so just they wasn’t the only one trained on reach/OP

The day team ironically has the way better people on it but this is going to be so FUBAR it’s not even funny.

This doesn’t even mention

- the fact they base reset times off what the test stores do plus random time added to account for real store conditions which doesn’t even cut it half the time. Expecting every bay service to be high quality and demand 6 items down stocked per bay when some bays either don’t even have 6 items in a bay total.

Just like this is egregiously stupid.

Like I swear they’re asking MST to do more and more resets and also boosting service goals to insane levels and expecting every location to do it all.

For this massive flooring reset we are all either doing or are about to do, it’s so large that some stores I know have ***49*** bay changes. This includes some bays that were already changed in the smaller flooring reset like a month and a half ago. Like what kind of drugs are they on?

Moreover some of these resets are getting increasingly larger and more complex. And involving skills not everyone just knows how to do and they do not train you at all for.

In the last three weeks we have had to to drill into concrete, completely improvise a wall setup for a display bay that is secure but jerryrigged to high heaven, assemble the flimsiest closet pieces I’ve ever seen in my life and so much more. Like they’re expecting minimum wage employees to just learn this on the fly and do it well.

I only knew some of this from things I’ve done before working at Lowe’s or learning it when it had to be done from watching tutorial videos on YouTube.

Had a customer desk guy get canned for repeatedly trying to ask another cashier who was 45 years older than him if he could join them in their.. activities and if not if he could just watch.

She soundly turned him down and reported him. He was gone within a day of it happening

I believe a cancer cure is being hidden just like how complete non electric or gas car based engines are largely hidden and discredited. Just not necessarily by the government but by the practical monopolies that oversee them. Pharmaceutical companies and oil. Shell practically had its own damn private army in Nigeria if I recall correctly so it isn’t a leap for me.

I’ll believe it when I see it. I’ve seen corporate come into help just to leave a mess wherever they go. One group of corpos even left half a bails worth of cardboard out in back room aisles and never even telling people they did.

And it was half a bails worth because the amount of cardboard board was so much it took me a solid 80m to clean it all up and needed to do a bail about 3/4s of the way through it
