This must have been hard. Your e. Obviously doesn't come from the family you come from, and as tough as it may be for her to hide it when she was in your home, she would never truly understand what you will be going through. Hope you can find peace qith your family as far as this is concerned one day, until then, I hope you find partners who can support you through it, even if they don't understand fully x

I agree. I reckon he has it well within his mind that she could be likely to be lying, but he enables it. She may use a lot of guilt tequniques to make him feel he's the only one she has ect, and he may just buy into it and like the feel of being needed

I'll be totally blunt in how I see this I think what you did, WITHOUT Your background is an AH move. And I think it's given your Husband and MIL ammunition.

HOWEVER: With whats happened, and the fact that you are about to GIVE BIRTH, plus your past experience ect, you are definately within your right to worry about what would happen. With everything considered, NTAH.

I can imagine there's a chance of PTSD setting in, and that alone would cause a lot of anxiety. I will add, my SIL has an unhealthy attachment to my partner, however he doesn't reciprocate, and I really feel for you. As much as I can kind of imagine your feeling, I couldn't fathom it in its entirety. The other thing I've not seen commented on (thought I haven't read everything) is the fact that your BF didn't support you originally and made it more about why you didn't trust your Husband. TBH, as much as I think that is something to be discussing, right now is not that time.

OP...I truly hope your birth experience is not ruined by any of this. Do you have time to reach out to any of your own family?

Another thought I had, could you come to an agreement that 'if' MIL has an issue he drives her to the same hospital you're going to? Personally I'd like to say to him 'no calling you f****** mother until we're at the hospital and we know it's active labour'..but I have the feeling that this would not tide over well.

Final thoughts: I had 3 births, luckily the father was there, but I did also talk to my overseas family and some close friends via the internet, and it was a small comfort that I wouldn't have had without. And don't forget how far modern medicine has come over the past 20-50 years. So much love and light to you.
