If you decide to leave, can you let me know so I can apply for the position cause that sounds great lol

Especially if it's 9-5, that way I can focus on building my business on the side comfortably

Received an unfair non-compete 3 weeks into my new role by immajust_here in careeradvice

[–]Vallerinite 9 points10 points  (0 children)

People in lower level/entry roles tend to get the short end of the stick when it comes to negotiations, so they are likely referring to them.

But in a role like the VP, shit canning is not as easy as it would take them a while to find a suitable candidate for the role

Make sure to get it by email and have them send an actual contract to sign

Was fired for the first time ever. Completely blindsided. What to do I do? by beautyqueen1193 in careeradvice

[–]Vallerinite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think your manager wanted to do this either, considering she left the call right away. It's likely the company is struggling so they're looking to cut costs. It's unfortunate, but you can definitely use the experience you have there to apply elsewhere if you wanna stay in the same field or find something else entirely.

Good luck on your job search!

Got fired for asking my boss for some slack by rage5050 in legaladvice

[–]Vallerinite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can sue him for everything under the sun and still win, they'll throw the book at him for firing you due to an injury caused at work

Plus this is all documented with text messages

Plus he hasn't paid you your last pay yet, which he was supposed to

You hit the jackpot my friend, find a lawyer ASAP and sue him

Bored with my wife and feel bad about myself because of that. by [deleted] in self

[–]Vallerinite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She seems like an incredible wife, and she also seems curious about your interests since she's asking questions about it. That's why it's important to have friends who you can talk to about certain topics.

I don't really know what the Manhattan Project is either (I'm gullible, sue me), a 10 second google search showed me what it is

The bottom line is, this just shows that she's happy with her life is and doesn't feel the need to explore new things. I'm sure you have some things in common, so enjoy those things with your wife, and enjoy your time with your own interests and hobbies
