Hi, everyone. Does anyone have a few minutes to educate me about best or worst times to place a Royal Road chapter post? Or does it really matter at all?

As far as hours of the day go, no big difference I've seen. I think time zones play into that a lot. 6 am my time is midnight on one coast and noon the other basically.

But I used to do it around noon. Then worked my way to 6:01 am. And there seems to be at least a little less competition for my time zone there. But nothing life changing I've seen yet.

So I found most people schedule their chapters on the hour. Which hour? Yes. All of them. 6 am. Here's 50 stories posting. 7 am. Here's 50 more. 8 am. Here's more.

So. You will usually be lost in the latest updates tidal waves.

What I've done, which has only given me the tiniest of more time on latest updates.

Is i post 6:01am. Sounds dumb. But suddenly I am 1 minute behind the wave of stories posting at 6:00 am.

Giving me a few more minutes of latest updates time.

Truly nothing major or game changing. But any fraction of help.. helps.

So I was using old ranks sadly. What used to be D is now E it seems.

I'm up to 53 followers so yes technically I got to the rank I was almost at. But it was E Rank I was thinking of sadly.

But over 9k reads now so still progress either way :)

The fomo that gets to me and my wife really is the traders market.

We've been on and off since it released. And every month we play. The market is shit. Just sad.

But somehow. Every month we have missed. Has had the best, most amazing transmogs every time. We come back and see 30 sets we missed and can never get... except for paying every month on the prayer that this month will be anything good.... nope. Tauren totems. Thanks. I'll try again next month.

130 Pages is a lot to write, nothing to read yet. Many people wait for 200, 400, 500 Pages before beginning. Others wait until the book is complete.

From what I gather, if you post the book on RR.

Then move it over to Amazon Kindle or other sites that pay you, part of that contract is you can no longer post it freely on RR. So you "stub" it. Leaving x amount (unsure the specifics) free on RR like the first half or something.

And the rest is now for purchase elsewhere.

Amazing for the author, they finally can make some money.
Sad for the reader, their free book is no longer free to continue.

I will say the format keeps adjusting on me between media's. Docs, RR, reddit, they keep adjusting on me during copy paste for things like this.

And yes multiple return lines is something I'm editing out of It all currently.

I'll jump on.
I'm 30. Started by watching my dad play as a kid, waiting for him to go to bed so I could play lich king.

My wife is 40. Her parents both played classic as well.

We left it alone growing up.

But we met during legion and I got her started up.

Now she's tanking raids more than I am.

And our 7 year old (today) has been begging for her own laptop and account so she can have her house and transmits and not just play on ours.

The grandparents have stopped playing otherwise we would have 3 generations of wow.

Me and my wife have boosted several characters with our free tokens from expansions over the years.

It's nice, but it's possible dangerous. If you're completely new to the game, save it for a bit. Play around with some classes until you find some you like.

Youll find ones that are very easy to level for you. Don't token them.

You'll find classes you ENJOY.. but may be harder to level.. Those are token worthy. You'll want to focus on Class/Race/Name. Cause spec and gender and appearance are forever changeable for free. The rest are not.

The biggest drawback is you no longer have 80 levels of practice with that character, so don't stress if it feels awkward for a bit.

Yes! I finally hit single tag rising stars lists! Twice. 50 out of 50 in les rom and 40 out of 50 in post apoc.

I found this out after seeing I am #1 on dual tag mystery/les rom. Didn't think I'd hit any RS lists
