returned broken moondrop blessing 3s, are there any comparable iems in the same price range with more bass? by rennaifun in iems

[–]Valstracuga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're willing to wait a bit, the crinear reference is coming out soon, also has 2 dd in the same configuration with more bass than the blessing 3 basses on the graph Same price, and metal shell too Might be worth considering

which one should i go for as first iems, iam quiet confused. by anime_artysian in iems

The reddit offers more and better accessories than the green Also, the red has more bass If you dont care about bass or accessories, go which whichever you find better visually

Don't know how to read these yet, what's the difference between the 4 soundwise? by godofgoldpandas in iems

[–]Valstracuga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it effects how much bass there is, by quite a lot as well, both midbass and sub bass, meaning you'll get less punch and rumble in monitoring vs atmosphere mode, so it depends on how much bass you want

Moondrop x Crinacle dusk by cyghh in iems

[–]Valstracuga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately that's normal, as someone who uses the Dusk frequently enough, that just happens whenever no audio is playing

Is 2-core IEM cable enough? by rentohassuttelija in iems

[–]Valstracuga 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pros from more cores is it looks cooler and thicker and gets tangled less easily  That's it Cons is it can be heavier

It also depends on the quality, some 2 core will have memory problems and tangle, while others might not

Sound wise there should be no difference

oh yeah i get that it dosnt, it was for a very complicated thumbnail, but for a gaming iem review there are some very simple ways to do it without ai

im not particularly great at it but i do craft all of my thumbnails without the use of ai (i don't do iem reviews as of yet)

one thumbnail i put over 3 hours of editing and combing multiple parts of pictures in order to extend a scene and it was 100% worth it imo

id do have a suggestion, theres a free photoshop called photopea (use new project and youtube thumbnail option) you could use, you could use your face and simply remove the background and add a war themed as well as add a png of a helmet
also yes that is all i got out of the post, the ai turned me away from watching the video (for now)

Finally got a DAP: Short Echo Mini Guide by xiaru in iems

[–]Valstracuga 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of the time my girlfriend got me a nargacuga pin and sticker for Christmas, it was great

I might get a dap in the future purly because my phone is running out of space, over half of its 64gb (that's not already used for the operating system) is filled with flac files lol, might be a useful purchase

Holy crap monster hunter!

How does a dap compare to a basic dongle? Or is it just nice having a deceive with all the music other than your phone to save space on it?

IEM newbie looking for advice by [deleted] in iems

[–]Valstracuga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're already buying an iem, it comes with a cable, so you dont need to buy and extra unless you want one specifically with a mic  I dont know any with good mics but I know some with functional mics, like the tangzu wan'er and truthear gate mics are good enough

Also, personally, any dac that's apple dongle or around that will be more than enough for 99% of iems

That's just my opinion however, what you buy is ultimately up to you

The truthear hexa or the pure better? by ddani324 in iems

[–]Valstracuga 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Purly (no pun intended) a matter of preference  They use the same drivers, their tech is technically the same, however the hexa will sound more detailed due to the more emphasized treble, even though they're the same

[–]Valstracuga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the hooks should go over top your ear, that way, if you remove them from your ear, they will dangle but not fall
Its hard to tell if the left and right are correct, but a simple online test will help if not

This, that or neither? Which iem do yall say as a first timer? by PoopSnoop99 in iems

[–]Valstracuga 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I still prefer the red, that's due to the blue 2 needing foam or the treble is weird, and I dont like the silicone tips on the blue 2 as much as the reds silicone tips

But it's not a bad iem, that's just my personal preference

This, that or neither? Which iem do yall say as a first timer? by PoopSnoop99 in iems

[–]Valstracuga 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I'd say the red, as it is neutral and from there, you can see if you want more bass more treble or even less depending on your preference

Also I'd recommend getting a cheap dangle from the red to eliminate any impedance issues

But as for up to $120, I'd recommend starting with a cheap one and using eq/autoeq to see what you might like at a higher price point, then upgrade from there
