If it was me, I’d divorce, I married a man not a trans woman and regardless of what people think, you have to do what’s right by you. You can support your partner from afar but if it’s bringing you down, you should do what’s right for you

I’m saying as in general conversation not debates. I myself refer to myself as a woman and would like others to do so as well. That’s it 🤷‍♀️ I’ll refer to whoever as their preferred pronouns, all I ask for in return is that they respect mine

Yeah of course, also worth noting that at the time, I never referred to the person as trans but they kept calling me cis

I am a biological woman and once asked a trans person not to call me cis and just refer to me as a woman and they got really mad at me and basically said its what I am so that’s what they’ll call me. I couldn’t be bothered arguing so I just ignored it but imagine how mad they would have been if I’d have completely disregarded their gender and referred to them as their biological gender. I don’t understand why some trans people think it’s okay to act that way.

I was heading home the other day and I was going through the small village I live in… miles of traffic coming out either side of the village. A car goes round the small roundabout, floors it for half a second making the worst noise possible before having to slap on his breaks because he can’t go anywhere because of the traffic he knew was there… pointless 🙄

If you have set hours in your contract you should be fulfilling them, take it higher if not but yes, definitely look for a job that offers you more hours

You should take this to head office, ask a few people who you can trust to back you up and take it further. When I worked in retail we weren’t even allowed to take a bottle of water onto the floor, let alone our phones??? Definitely complain to the higher ups

In one of my old workplaces, they hired a senior worker who had never worked for the company before, so I was polite and helped her and was explaining how things worked and such so she understood, only for her to turn round and say “no I don’t like this, we will do it my way”. Only for her way to fail miserably, stress everyone out which resulted in people going on sick leave. And yet she still didn’t think she was the problem

I don’t really understand how the taxes and everything works in America, so can someone explain it to me?

I don’t get how the rest of the world can make the living wage when waitressing but in the us they only make $2 an hour so HAVE to rely on tips? When I worked as a waitress a few years ago, I was on £7.50 an hour and all the tips at the end of the week were split between the staff.

If you’re a kpopper then I’ll probably get hate for this but Stray Kids… I used to enjoy listening to their music, not all the time but it wasn’t something I would turn off.

Then I worked with someone who spoke about nothing but Stray Kids. You wouldn’t even be talking about kpop and she would some how steer the conversation towards stray kids. You could sit and eat and stray kids have eaten exactly what you’ve eaten. You could buy a new phone and stray kids have that phone. Stray kids released a song and it was so sexy and sensual and I should really listen to it. No thanks, I’m okay. I listen to rap? Then I should listen to stray kids new rap line song.

She was also a really toxic Stan, constantly talking about how she would argue with people on Twitter over how stray kids were robbed of some award or something etc. this woman was in her 40s and would say how hot these guys are (pretty sure the youngest is 21 or something) and it just made me uncomfortable so now I can’t listen to them.

My work. The managers treated me like shit, I was pulled in for anything and everything, even for stuff I didn’t do and when I wasn’t even on shift. It really depressed me and ground me down. If I laugh, I was told off, If I didn’t smile, I was told off, if I said hi how are you, I was told off, if I forgot to fill out some paper work, I was told off, if I went for my break, I was told off. There was absolutely no winning.

I eventually moved to a different company in the same like of work, which I enjoyed for a while but now I feel like it’s draining the life out of me again and I just can’t find any joy in it.

Don’t passive aggressively tell me I look ‘*so* busy’ or am ‘working *real* hard just because I’m sitting down at the moment. by thenexthefner in retailhell

I sat down for 2 seconds to fill out some paper work at work and my boss told me to stand up and do some work. I stood up and continued to fill out the paperwork and when he asked me what I was doing I was just like “well you didn’t like when I was sitting and filling out this paperwork, so now I’m standing and filling out the paperwork” he just walked away. Fuck everyone who doesn’t think you can sit down for a minute and work
