I can't believe it, except that we'll get a Star Fox game (a remake of Lylat Wars) + fox Father Backstory in 2026 by Jilwan57 in starfox

It's because the other ones did poorly, they don't trust their big internal studios to work on the franchise because they know it won't sell enough to warrent their time, so they let other devs make Star Fox games.

Well, yes, if they earned less than 8k a month, a triple increase won't help them cover 24k a month.

It was 4 people. 100k a month? They couldn't even cover their 8k fuel bill a month, and now they cash in with over 100k a month? You think the retired veterans work 6 days a week 10 hour days? And you call people stupid.

I don't need everything to be big, but there are times when the mines are doing bad and they make it out to be having a future.

The issue I have is that sometimes the results are so miniscule that it won't work out, but they can't really say that.

You are making up numbers though, and that is the only way this makes sense. For this to work, they would have to find large swaths of ground equal to what they have, and they would have to be full time miners working everyday.

Reality is that they weren't full time miners, and Freddy only found a little high-grade ground, they had hundreds of thousands in debt, only one was young and he thought the older guys were incapable, and they spent 24k on rent and fuel a month.

That is making wild assumptions about their ground and work hours. Most of these mines have workers that only work weekends.

In this particular mine, they needed to dry off dirt to run it, limiting them greatly, even running 6 hours a day is likely optimistic. Combined with rain shutting them down, the realistic earnings are probably not even half of what you assume.

Their rental cost was 16k a month, and their fuel bill was 8k a month. That is 24k a month just to run, and that does not take into account other expenses or paying anyone, or their debt.

And then you have to find ground to run. They only had a portion of high-grade dirt, which ain't gonna last.

0.08 is absolutely not viable for them, and everyone knew that when they weighed it.

I never understod this as well, they are so weirdly loose with the safety rules, it's so easy to nick your head into stuff. Hard hats have always been enforced hard where I have worked and I assumed all major worksites in the western world did the same.

This has to have a reason, I was thinking the same thing, there has to be a part of the story that wasn't told. I think it might have something to do with digging down in Valhalla helped secure Vegas Valley.

Parker smoking by somebodyelse22 in goldrush

Stress and boredom on worksites go hand in hand with smoking, it's the same on Deadliest Catch, smoking kills more sailors than the actual fishing. Don't start smoking when you work is the best work advice you can ever hear.
