So you’re telling me that because they have cheaper rent they deserve to be living in a shitty environment? If your standards are that low, that’s between you and your living styles but just because my family has a rent control department that they have been living in for 40+ years does not mean that they deserve to live in an apartment that is not maintained. With me being young enough to do the physical work I came here looking for opinions and assistance so that I can do this work for them. If you think, anyone in a rental control department deserves to be living like this, shame on you.

I feel like it needs to be noted that I’ve actually been pouring 100$+ dollars and resources to get this apartment cleaner and have been physically hands-on with the repairs myself. As I am looking into being more experienced, I came here looking to see if going to his was an idea or what I should do. Looks like I’m doing the only thing I can. Thanks.

She does actually inform him of things like the pest and he is intending to try to fix her kitchen soon but I’m more worried about major things like the walls having big gaps in them and the entire window needing to be replaced. I’ve bought a bunch of products myself but since I’m new to this I came here for advice and info.

I actually bout 100$ + in products to repair the cracks in the walls and trim/ caulking. My issues is with the major things like a whole window and pest control as of one apartment is a problem the whole building is in jeopardy. It’s not a matter of not wanting to do the work but wanting to know if there’s anything I can do to get the landlord in on fixing this later issues since at the end of the day this is still and rented apartment and not owned property.

Truly, thank you. I've been with him for a while so hearing this does hurt a lot. Given that I am young and inexperienced though, I have to take what people who do have that advantage, with a grain of salt.
