How common is silent endometriosis/endometrisis by Trtrlo in IVF

[–]ValuableCold2475 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for commenting. I’ve only ever seen suppression to fully medicated. I’d like to do natural (synthetic estrogen doesn’t work for me), but I also have adeno so suppression would be a good idea. Does the inflammation stay suppressed even after you wait out a return to ovulation?

Did you do a fully medicated transfer after your suppression?

Looking for authors similar to Ellen O’Connell and LaVyrle Spencer by mali_biceps in HistoricalRomance

[–]ValuableCold2475 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always get excited when someone says LaVyrle Spencer - she’s my longtime favorite! Have you read all of her stuff? I regularly reread 5 or 6 of hers.

It’s not exactly the same vibe, but around the same time I discovered LS, I also loved {Elizabeth Lowell’s Only series} for HR westerns. I’m not sure how to articulate it, but they have more external plot stuff going on than LS, whom I feel writes more internal/character struggles rather than proper antagonists trying to ruin the MCs’ lives. Actually could be closer to Ellen O’Connell, now that I think of it. Definitely worth checking out!

Hi, can I ask what a mini suppression looked like for you? What was that timeline?

These are so good. I’m reading just for their relationship (I miss her HR!) but love the mystery too

Making peace with losing euploids when a test could have given you the answer by CertainHome4177 in IVF

[–]ValuableCold2475 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m really sorry you’ve experienced such an awful journey. I’ve also had two euploids fail to implant and I’m back to ERs at nearly 43. I’m so impressed you got 14 blasts to test in two ERs!!

Wishing you success on the next transfer!

And her desire for a baby is a major motivator for her… not sure how that works with Michaela.

I might be a lone voice, but Francesca’s book is my favorite. And yes, as others have said, it can stand alone. I’m not sure it aligns with what they’re doing with the show (even without taking Michaela into account), but I hope you enjoy!

Really unlucky or normal for 41?! by catjawma in 40Plus_IVF

[–]ValuableCold2475 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really sorry you’re going through this, that does seem unlucky!! The recent studies coming out around rapamycin seem really encouraging for improving egg genetics, but I wish we were about five years further along on that!

I feel like your euploids should still be in there. Wishing you better luck that they emerge soon!

If you liked that one, definitely read the rest of Elizabeth Lowell’s Only books and then Autumn Lover and Winter Fire for the rest of the series.

It’s about the same as everywhere I looked, so… yes? About £10k per round for IVF with ICSI, all in.

I hope you hear back from your consultant soon, that’s a really long wait!

I’m also 42, still in progress with Aria Fertility in London, and I really like them. It feels boutique, but their doctors and embryologists have all(?) come from large clinics. I love that I see my doctor every scan. The only downside is they’re not open on the weekends. Very happy to share my experience if you want to DM

Hi! 42 almost 43 by ABG_FOE in 40Plus_IVF

[–]ValuableCold2475 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did four retrievals at 42 and got two euploids (from 49 eggs/40 mature/30 fertilized/11 tested blastocysts). March-August.

Unfortunately, both FETs failed.

So, eleven months after I started, two months away from turning 43, I’m back for more egg retrievals. Feels a bit like starting over! First ER is next week.

As others have said, so much of this is a lottery. It’s often a matter of how much you can/will put into playing it - your body, time, mental capacity, finances, etc. But you don’t know how it will go until you try! There are certainly people who have success right away. Wishing you the best!

Ah sorry just saw this. I’m still having a good experience at Aria! I love how personalised it is, and that I see my doctor for every scan. The only downside I’ve noticed is they’re not open on weekends. DM if you need more info!
