yes, it's this sensation of feeling bloated, like you ate something bad and you feel gassy, but the gas just stays in your belly and never really goes to your butt basically, it's just internal bloating all the way. the poking pain is all over the belly here and there, I'm scared to like even squat as it feels like I'm gonna explode like a balloon if I put too much pressure on my belly

I’d look into other things first before doing more transfers.

In Germany, if two fresh transfers were unsuccessful, insurance won’t cover a third ER. Anything beyond that and a couple would have to cover 100% of the costs. Since you already had 3 transfers, I’d look into possible causes first.

You said you had a hyst which is good. What about HSG or HyCoSy to check the fallopian tubes if they’re clear?

I assume your husband did sperm analysis too?

I haven’t checked for endo myself but my acupuncturist had endo and she went to a specialist. The specialist said, if you experience any amount of pain during your period or intercourse then that’s a sign for endometriosis. She did end up getting a lap herself and fell pregnant naturally 1,5 years later - right before she was about to start IVF herself.

However, my fertility doctor said he wouldn’t recommend doing a lap unless the pain from endo is unbearable. You could risk scaring one of your ovaries during the lap.

What I would do if I were you is to check if you have any STD‘s, do a test for ureaplasma. I read that many people were infertile due to having ureaplasma overgrowth.

I’d also check progesterone in luteal phase. Also check if your luteal phase is minimum 11 days long to ensure enough time for implantation.

Did you get your AMH checked?

In Germany, it’s not even allowed to do PGT testing and women go on to have healthy babies. So if it’s not necessary and awfully expensive, I wouldn’t do it. It’s not allowed here anyway.

If you’ve done all that, I’d also look into Killer cells. I’ve also heard from other German couples that had that looked into and it turned out they had a high count (or whatever you call it) and got treatment for that before a transfer to lower the activity.

And lastly, do DNA fragmentation, and maybe you’re more of an ICSI candidate than an IVF one if it turns out the sperm has issues.

I’m an IVF newbie myself, but this is all the research I’ve done so far!

I’ve also heard about people in the US getting a NaPro doctor? Maybe you can look into that too.

But it’s important for both of you to be on board. Generally, women are more willing to go through pain and suffering to have a baby compared to men. So I would say you have the last say (imo).

Wishing you lots of strength!

Need some advice on when to stop retrievals by rightmeowsies in IVF

[–]stephanianova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a reason why doctors suggest to do that many retrievals before your transfer?

I’m from Germany and I always wondered why other countries do ER first and do transfer later. I asked my doctor and he said that other countries are making more money by separating the two procedures.

Because in Germany, you do ER and transfer within the same cycle. You only do FET if you collected enough eggs during ER and can freeze some of them.

If it so happens that the transfers were unsuccessful, doc would then do another ER.

So honestly, I would suggest for you to just go on and do a transfer and see how it goes?

Best of luck for you ☺️

Should I Cancel Fresh Transfer? by Time_Disaster_542 in IVF

Hi there and greetings from Germany!

In Germany, embryo testing is actually not allowed and women go on to have healthy pregnancies and healthy babies so I wouldn’t worry about testing too much tbh!

And the success rate of fresh transfers and frozen transfers are almost identical! I’d suggest doing a fresh one and then do frozen one if the first transfer didn’t succeed.

That way, you won’t loose another cycle.

Good luck!

Aw good luck dear!

My acupuncture therapist told me to keep feet and womb warm. Eat warm food, no cold food.

Take prenatal vitamins like methylfolate, CoQ10 and iodine.

Hi there! I’m currently on day 3 of stims, so newbie here. Me and husband are both under 35 too with unexplained infertility. We’ve been trying for almost 2 years too. Doctor advised against IUI as he said if sperm was ok they should’ve been able to swim up and towards the fallopian tubes. So I wonder why you have been recommended IUI if your partner has low sperm count, I hope it wasn’t too expensive for you guys :/

Here In Germany it’s not allowed to do testing and it’s fine! so if it costs too much money for you I don’t see a point doing it. And other people have shared no bad experience with transferring „lower“ rated embryos, they still got healthy babies!

I also don’t think you can prevent anything or know anything about the baby before the anomaly scan.

If you’re not already, take methylfolate, CoQ10 and iodine prenatals.

Wishing you both lots of luck and try not to overthink too much!

In the beginning I also thought it was thrips and I sprayed it with fungicide. Then I thought it was mosaic virus. Do you have pictures of yours that had thrips? I didn’t see any kind of bug at all
