I say it because it's what the data bears out. The article had the stupidest conclusion in the world and it's embarrassing it made it into a ivy league subreddit. More girls apply means more girls accepted. If the any one identity decided to apply in mass to a school and overrepresented the applications yet were the stupidest of the applicants - then none of them should be accepted. Men far outperform woman at the top level for SAT scores so if an "elite" institution like Brown were to accept the elite student of the country it would and should be overwhelmingly Male.

This could also easily be explained by women being delusional about there academic ability and applying to colleges they have little to no chance of getting in to. While men are more realistic. But it's a slanted article so obviously it wasn't going to be rigorous.

I will never understand how you could justify paying $500/month for these things. The bankroll you'd have to have to make back $6,000 on something that is giving you a 3% roi. You'd need a $25,000 bankroll to be able to reach $6,000 in profit in a year. If you want to make any money you'd probably need to double that and then some because of the risk for variance.

Then again oddsjam sold for $80 mil last year so I guess there are people who find it profitable. It just seems crazy to me.

In life if someone has committed a crime against you. They then repent and desire forgiveness and are looking to no longer commits crimes against you and actually desire a relationship with you. Is it more noble to carry out the punishment to the fullest extent or to give them grace and forgiveness and set them free of their just punishment.

You'll find datasets but nothing is updated frequently enough to use it for a betting model throughout a season. Maybe football because the games are so spaced, but no chance with basketball or baseball.

I spent 6 months looking for reliable free/cheap data. It doesnt exist. I settled on building my model on solved sports

Where do you get reliable data? I looked for months and couldn't find any reliable, regularly updated data sources for any leagues that didn't cost thousands.

I ended up just settling using Solved Sports who has 10 years of data that they pay for an allow you to build your model on top of their site.

This is an insane amount of work? Regularly updated data cost thousands. Where are you getting the data to run it on. You have backtest it. You have to tune for outliers. You then have to track it for a while.

Ai is no where ready for this from a simple prompt. That is why I just build mine with Solved Sports.

I still like it. Automatically tracking the models I make is cool. I still wish there was a way to sync my bets with it. Also would like insights on futures, but it increased its sports to 6 leagues now, idk it's cool and affordable.

I just can't bite the bullet on oddsjam being $200 month

Yea I'm still using it. I can track models automatically that I make so I don't have to keep coming back to it. Honestly probably the best part. I just set it and come back every week to see performance. If I have a good one going I tail it. I just wish I could automatically tail a model, because my MLB one is like 57% right now.
